Whenever I watch Shi Hen Yi Shifu's videos, I always cannot help but believe that what we are seeing is the reflection of Shifu's "mind" through his enlightened light, even though he may be physically here on earth. His calmness and softness through his firmness of movements, I almost feel certain sadness from his compassion in his state of spirituality towards all sentient beings in this samsara. Perhaps a come and go at will butisattva manifested in the form of a Shifu to somehow teach us and wish all of us happiness, free from suffering, and reaching equanimity and detachment.

When Master Shi Heng Yi smiled as the dog walked passed I broke down in tears. Which I understand can be apart of a healing process. Every movement reminded me to harmonize my self with the universe and to be strong not only for myself but for every one around me. This video has so much good in it, it was a very powerful and moving experience thank you.

Just watching Shaolin Yi Jin Jing heals me. I’m nurse. In need of restoration. I listened to his explanation of some of the moves. They correlate with what we learn in college HAP. They say when the student is ready the teacher will appear.

Desires direct towards god is de only force capable of elevating a sick soul. O my soul remember past strivings: I am that which wants to master my self because self mastery is das ultimate form of power- Power itself. Will Zur Macht
Ancient Shaolin temple teached subjects are, 1. Philosophy (zen, Buddhism, Taoism) for mind strongness; 2. Physical training (excercises, Kung fu, meditation) for body strongness; 3. Medicine (herbs knowledge, disease & injuries healing, health science) for longevity of natural life.

I watch Master Shi Heng Yi in action and imagine myself being able to do these postures with equal grace. The reality is, I'd totes be like the couple up in the back row wobbling and falling into each other. Hilarious! I'm laughing, not in disrespect, of course. I started out doing yoga about 5 years ago and, despite the fact I'm the fattest, oldest person in the studio, and I wobble and topple off balance quite a lot, there are things I can do now that I seriously couldn't have imagined myself ever being able to do. So. Yanno. It's all good, the falling over stuff, as long as you get up and keep practising you'll always improve :)
