@themoongoddess11903 жыл бұрын
I love them, but 250 dollars??? o_o
@destineeryan67733 жыл бұрын
@@themoongoddess1190 It's a lot, but for women who consistently wear lashes, it would be a good investment. If you occasionally wear lashes for a party it's not worth it, but for those who do wear them consistently there's tons of eye irritation, lash glue build-up (which can permanently damage and dirty your real lashes to the point the glue will never come out), plus the fact that if someone is trying to stick to the reccomended 3-4 uses per lash, they'll ultimately spend waaaay more than $250 on new lashes by the time their 40 uses is up for the expensive pair. However, many women-because of how expensive purchasing traditional lashes for everyday can be-wear lashes more than the reccomended time frame, which is even worse for your eye health. Now there's the glue issues but also bacteria issues introduced, as people don't usually clean their lashes before putting them away. There is no way in hell that the same people who are wearing one pair of lashes 5, 7, 10 times even would actually put down these $240 lashes after their 40 uses, providing they were still physically usable, meaning they could get even more bang for their buck at a significantly lower price long term, and it ultimately be way healthier for your eyes. No glue, made out of a a fiber that's healthier near your eyes as opposed to traditional synthetics. I don't wear them often enough for me to bother but if I ever did I would definitely buy a pair. The only thing I hope she changed/added is some kind of lash and eye cleaning product to clean your fake and natural lashes. Whether people use it, who knows, but an eye doctor selling a tube of lash cleaner would be a major win-most people don't know how or with what to clean their lashes besides general makeup remover, they'd bite. Especially if it was meant to be done like once a week, once every two weeks to bolster lash health.

I don't wear lashes but this has to be one of the coolest products. Her expertise and medical background, her story, her passion, the fact that this beats out any other magnetic eyelash out there, I would be shocked if this didnt make her millions. I kinda wish she ditched the sharks and just used the shark episode clout lol

Evidently Kendra Scott is habitually discriminating in hiring if her staff of 2000 people is 96% women.

It’d be interesting to see a strength comparison between the adhesive version and magnetic version. Engineer here 🤓🔬 Or have the two people stand in those hurricane wind tunnel simulators haha 🌬🌪

Did this valuation make sense to anyone? How is it that she is profitable and has revenue of 600k+ in the first year but valued her company at only 500k for the deal? (100k for 20% is 500k valuation) Besides, the ask was 75k for 5%, initially valuing at 1.5 million. The deal actually cut the valuation to a third.

It's a shark deal. When you walk in to the tank, you are always prepared to cut your valuation for the sharks. Some aren't and they usually don't walk out with a deal. That's the name of the game.

I just think the name is awesome. The word "opulence" makes you think "optical" and the addition of MD is like a little nod to her background while also adding a nice ring to it. Spot on.
