my biggest fear always was getting attacked by a shark .. i'd be dead in a second just from the shock .. to see good things happen like Paul surviving the attack and he still wants to protect Sharks .. that just shows his great heart and attitude .. he gives a good example of how you can still live a meaningful Life even after an accident or Tragedy ..

I am a long time dead head. Totally love the grateful Dead ❤️. But I have always wondered if they kinda copied the Pepsi logo with the Stealy face logo. They are pretty crafty folks. What is your thoughts on this? I m not saying I mind. I'm a coke girl. So I really don't have a horse in this race. Peace and love!!

Edit- they went back on this later on, and his advice is probably better, pushing them away instead of being aggressive. Though if already mid 'interaction' - About the punching them in the nose, and I'm far from an expert, but from the few I've heard about on this topic, they say going for an eye gouging is generally the much better option to try, rather than that old punch to the nose. Also heard that it may also be better trying to like fuck with their gills, like jamming your arm into them; either could be hard, so it'll depend on the circumstances and what's 'easiest' to do/reach. For a few reasons - as Jim said you may not get much strength behind it in the water, and many people aren't super accurate throwing a punch even in normal circumstances, let alone in a sudden situation underwater. It can also be a bad choice given the proximity of this target to their mouth, and some of the common angles of their face that many sharks have, possibly causing you to basically just jab your arm into their mouth. One other part is that many (idk if it's all, I imagine their may be a few outliers) try to protect their eyes at the moment when they go in for an attack. Either by closing their 'normal' eyelids or using a clear membrane that helps to protect the eyes without completely compromising their vision, among other things. Losing an eye, or both, can be a big problem obviously, so getting a good gouge in supposedly really helps to deter them from continuing the attack. Edit 2 - shit, wasn't far enough through to when he said this - another bit of random shark info - though idk if it's actually super common among many species or just a few, but some sharks will eat many or all of their siblings before actually being born.

Nah, in the eighties it was both. I grew up there. It was 'pepsi' because French Canadian teens were stereotyped as drinking Pepsi instead of coke, and eating Mae West snack cakes instead of Joe Louis. So they'd get called 'Pepsi," or "PepsiMaewest". Pepper was also common but I don't know where that originated. It was there throughout the eighties.

Why protect sharks not other fish? A good question, considering that fish are most abused animals on the planet, just as if they were swimming vegetables. Sharks, tuna, sardines... whatever, none of them should be eaten. None of them deserves to be killed. All fish deserve to be free in their natural habitat where they belong. Experts say that if we're going to fish with the current pace, we're gonna have fishless ocean by 2050, which is going to be catastrophic for the planet and its inhabitants. Eat plants instead. I used to be a big meat-eater too, so if I could go vegan, anyone can.
