Honestly I don’t see how people didn’t see the suicidal undertones in his music. Theyre full of them
@chazy1234 жыл бұрын
@@lipman19 No one noticed probably because no one was conditioned about the future event. Only he knew if he meant the "suicidal undertones" in his lyrics or actually (considering some conspiracies, which I'm not so sure they're conspiracies and no I'm not talking about the conspiracy surrounding his actual death but the conspiracies that can be interpreted from many LP songs) he knew "they" were gonna get to him, same way "they" got to MJ (if we're to believe the conspiracies surrounding his death and an alleged phone call to 911 moments before his death I think? although it might have been fake) and many other famous people that wanted to "change the world" (help somehow in one way or another, try and inform about whatever was going on, etc). So, if you think about it, many people in similar circumstances (try and help the world, try and inform about serious topics, technological advances that would destroy whole industries, etc) have died in strange circumstances (I think this is known as a conflict of interests: what these people were/are trying to do go against "the plans of the elite" or however you want to call it if you think there's even a possibility of that being true). Unless you are of the opinion that conspiracies do not exist and the only problem in the world is just corrupt politics and nothing else (that's cute) I wouldn't be in a hurry and believe what many believe (the "mainstream"). Just to be clear, it is possible that he indeed committed suicide in which case the point I tried to make would still stand. All I'm saying is, there are many different ways of seeing things (all which may partially be correct), so don't limit yourself to just one or a few of them and definitely try and question what you're told and what you hear (even what I just said, yes, that's the purpose of this wall of text lol). For example, part of the conspiracy surrounding his death is true except the part where "they" get to him, instead he was overwhelmed by all he and his friend were investigating and concluded there was no hope and thus triggering the act.

I used to think ending the album with One More Light wouldve been better than some “random number” but then i listened to this. to me, its even more emotional because, in hindsight, this is LP’s last album-and their final piece of music is Chester giving us advice on how to go on with our lives before he himself left. now that’s emotional and its the most beautiful thing. also the irony here is that their first song was papercut-about paranoia and being afraid, but here chester isnt afraid at all, and shows us what we can do so we dont have to be

For me, this one song was his perfect way to say goodbye, I never comment anything, but today this deserves my most deep thoughts, and I'm here to say that I've grown listening to this band, I'm not the biggest fan of hybrid theory tho, because my admiration for this band is not only based in one or two albums, or the nostalgia that they bring to me, this band represents a lot more for me, and as I heard their changing sound along the years that passed, I kept liking them, feeling what they had to say, giving a welcome to any change and new song they wrote for us, and this song in particular, from their most hated album is for me the perfect last lesson that they could ever give me. Thank you linkin park, and thank you Chester, yours is a big part of my life, and you will always be my teacher. R.I.P. Chester Bennington.

@@living_legacy_7 that's assuming metal fans are the only one who disliked an album because its their opinion on a band they liked. like people are allowed to have opinions, "Toxic" people in general try to gas light and generalise people and are normally the ones complaining about a toxic group or something that's "toxic" but normally want to hate on certain people which is toxic because its creating a group to hate and then publish it to make others hate them because they are the actual toxic person for not allowing freedom of thought. its like saying all pop music sucks compared to in my opinion pop music sucks, because its an opinion rather than a toxic made up fact a person has made. "some toxic metal fans" compared to I don't understand why people disliked this album in my opinion its as good as their best stuff. I don't seem to grasp why this album was so disliked by so many people. I can understand that it is definitely not the same sound from when LP began, but people change, grow, and their tastes expand and evolve. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and tastes. But music is an evolution of voices. I feel that the true music fans should appreciate how LP shaped and morphed through their music. I for one, will forever be grateful for all the work, emotion and insight that went into each and every album. My only regret is not going to more concerts and having the opportunity to witness their creations in person. I went to one single LP concert as a celebration of my 30th birthday. And it was the most amazing experience. I will hold that concert so close to my heart forever and always. Thank you Chester for all that you gave and thank you LP for always being true to your music.
@disrupt947 жыл бұрын
Immature people tend to look for acceptance of their own opinion rather than be satisfied with it, add entitlement to that and you have a bunch of people unwilling to accept any stylistic change by the band. I saw Chester just one month before he passed. The performance was mindblowing, and since he is gone i doubt any show will EVER top it.
@quota2.07 жыл бұрын
Because there are some people (me included) who are just not feeling this type of instrumental music in this album. If we take good song lyrics aside, I´m just not feeling any depth when hearing the instrumental. I cannot force myself to like something if it just doesn´t click with me. There is nothing wrong with genuinely not liking something. It is kind of expected that some opinions will be divided when the band is trying so many different genres. You just can´t find everything to be relatable. With that said, I definitely DO NOT support people who demanded Linkin Park to go back to their old style. That is outright selfish.

This song’s something that the young need to learn from. Live life clean and simple. When you’re young study well, have good friends and play sports. Then in college start getting a bit more serious about your career and see what your passionate about. Then in your 20s get to work and get a partner who you would like to spend the rest of your life with. As the song suggests, there’s a lot of temptation to run off the beaten path and give in to your inner vices, but that’s exactly what you need to get away from coz you’ll not get those years back. Unless you want to find it out for yourself

It isn't that they're making different music per say, but that's apart of it. This album isn't that good musically, and they're hardly using guitar and drums. On top of that, this is too far of a stray from their original audience's desired music, a completely different genre really even when compared with Living Things and such really. I personally would give it like a 6/10 because even in the genre it's in it's not amazing or anything, it's just adequate. It's not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be, but it's definitely not very good. They could do a whole lot better. Their worst album for sure, but to be fair that's just because their other albums are really good for the most part.

But in the end, the truth is it did matter. He made an amazing legacy... The entire band did. Their songs helped me through tough times... And as a little kid it was my favorite band... and now the lead singer is dead... We should remember him as he was before suicide, not as he is when he did suicide. Just like the song 'Leave Out All The Rest'.

+Resol mé lyrically, the song sounds like it was written by a 5 year old. Their worst song of the album.
