Oh, this is one of my absolute favorites. They also revived its popularity when it was used in a movie called Strictly Ballroom. I was really young when I heard the song like in the single digits and I remember dancing around my room to the song because it was so poignant and hopeful and sweet.

Pre-disco. The tambourines shout, "Hippies. 1960s. Groovy." Featured in the closing, dance scene of "Strictly Ballroom" (1992), a charming romance out of Australia. I suspect, in their previous lives, Shawn and Mel were tie dye and patchouli wearing hippes

I am blessed by God. I was born in 1961 and I enjoyed these songs from the 70's, 80's, 90's... Here in my country, Brazil, "Love Is In The Air" was very successful. I really like your reactions. I'm a fan of the channel... Thank you.

There was an Australian band made up of immigrants who met at the Villawood Immigration centre. They were The Easybeats, and were called Australia's answer to the Beatles. They did a tour of Europe, came home and broke up, but the two song writers, Harry Vanda and George Young (brother of Angus and Malcolm from ACDC) wrote heaps of songs, so they came back to Australia and put out a few singles under the name Flash and the Pan. But they became producers, and produced many Australian singers/bands. They wrote this and many more JPY songs.

Yes!!! Love it. Here in Australia, JPY (nicknamed "Squeak") was pretty much king of the 70's music scene. He had so so many great songs in that decade - Yesterday's Hero, I Hate the Music, Keep on Smiling, The Love Game, Where the Action Is, I Wanna Do It With You, The Painting, Pasadena etc, etc.
