Fun fact: While Sans dunks on you if you try to spare him in geno, you can actually spare him if you intentionally miss all your attacks. You gain the act “back down” at the end of the fight and a unique scene. It aborts genocide of course

I’m starting to think… In Undertale, all the bosses die in one hit, with the exception of Undyne and Sans. They’re the only ones that put up an actual fight. However, we’ve seen in Underswap that both Asgore (who’s in Toriel’s place) and Sans (who’s in Papyrus’s place) both had actual fights. This makes me think that both Alphys (who’s standing in for Undyne) and Papyrus (who’s standing in for Sans) will both not have actual fights, and will die in one hit. This’ll be interesting.

Yeah, I tried to see how much you could get in a neutral run by just killing the loox + pick on and the enemies who give the most EXP in starlight islands, and it is actually impressive, I think you can get up to LV 9 in neutral. Geno isn't actually very different except that in neutral as in neutral you just cannot kill most bosses (K.Koffin and Muffet doesn't die, as Sans get in the way and either teleports them or picks Koffin up, and in fact with Koffin he tells you "I didn't want to say this, but there is kids behind you, did you really want them to show this) Not killing Muffet gets balanced a little due to the fact that you can kill the 2 remaining dogs in neutral. But yeah, you can basically do the Sans fight with 1 more level than Shayy.

​@@NovaAeternusMaybe I'm not the first person to check it out but if it's true, to get to that point you have to do the genocidal route in the previous version, there is a room before the knights who come out of Loox, first kill 21 and then the gentlemen, by killing Asgore you get a total of 630 exp, in the other area the maximum exp you can get is 1093 exp before the battle against the mini boss, by exhausting the entire kill counter, at the end with the extra death that gives 70 exp and defeating Sans you are only 1 exp away from LV 11

I really love this games attempt to keep the character's personalities intact despite their different circumstances, I generally don't like underswap takes because they get the personalities all wrong. I especially dislike underswap sans because in their attempt to make sans more like papyrus they create an obnoxious, humorousless immature blob that lacks the charming characteristics of either sans or papyrus, but this game sidesteps that problem all together by keeping the majority of both brother's personalities intact while swapping their roles, sans is now the one going out of his way to get the attention and praise of other monsters (and being more successful) while papyrus is trying to be both supportive but also make sure his brother doesn't get into too terribly goofy situations. I thought alphys broke that trend by being something wild different but even that seems to be a ruse, she's playing an act like any well written alphys should, I imagine she's probably obsessed with European stories and imagery in this universe instead of anime and her attempts to replicate that end up making her look like a bizarre blend of a james bond villain and stroheim from jojo's, it's actually genius.

One thing: the underswap you are thinking of is the fanon version, the annoyingly obnoxious swap sans is commonly called "blueberry" which is a travesty to all names, even asgore could name better than that Canon underswap is generally better because instead of either a 1 to 1 role and personality swap(basically literally just a design swap) theres small differences, such as swap papyrus(who is called either stretch or carrot, both names are ass) enjoying practical humor more than puns, and swap sans enjoying riddles, not major differences but atleast it isnt a complete pallet swap and\or bastardizing every Character

There is a way to spare Crossbones, but you have to let every attack run out causing them to miss, then when at the end of the fight, go to the act menu and select Backdown. There's some interesting Lore you get at the end for it.

Trick for anyone struggling against sans here:atack at 1:55:47 can be easily avoided, all you have to do is wait 'till the box will start to push you from the beggining platform you jump as high as possible, then use the dash and hold an arrow in the directon of beggining platform, that way - if you time it right (which isn't really hard) you get de facto free atack

I actually didn't know this game ONLY used first person for the narration, so when you mentioned that I was like "What?". I completely (somehow) missed you named your pacifist character "Shayy" so I just thought this is what happens when you name the character "Chara", cause there's special dialogue for selecting said name.
