Short version: I've been a fan of Zachary Levi's work, and now I'm a fan of *him*. I haven't seen everything he's ever done, but I loved 'Chuck' and I thought he was excellent in 'Shazam.' He looked like he was really in touch with his inner child as Shazam, and his character looked like he was having so much fun; it was a joy for me to watch. Zachary's smile is infectious; Thank you, Zachary, for letting us get a glimpse inside of you.

I understand that… but also FOR ME… seeing the gray in his hair, and seeing more gray in mine--coupled together with new and younger MUSIC/Entertainment artist (Juice WRLD as an example RIP- and seeing them come and go), and having diabetes for over a decade-- makes me feel OLD. 😂 Not sure if I’m completely okay with that feelin yet. 😂

This episode really resonated with me. I have ADHD along with depression and anxiety and didn't get a diagnosis as an adult until last year at the age of 37. It really opened my eyes to all the problems I've had in my life and that I needed help and medication in order to start healing and becoming a healthy person. I started taking Wellbutrin and Concerta and the difference in my life is absolutely incredible. Since I've started taking medication, I wake up early every morning, I exercise, I meditate, I eat three meals a day, I read, I keep my apartment clean and organized. To many people this just seems normal, but for me it is something I have literally never experienced until starting medication. And feeling normal and positive feels far better than anything I have ever felt in the past. So thank you Michael and Zachary for being open and honest about your own mental health struggles and for encouraging others that have mental health struggles similar to myself to see a doctor and getting medicated, and telling people that there is no shame in medication. It means so much to me to hear people that I grew up watching in high school and young adulthood go through the same struggles that I do, and that there is nothing wrong with being the person I am and getting the help I need. Thank you for the podcast, and please continue being honest and authentic about your mental health, because it really does make a difference.

The concepts of humanizing/dehumanizing ourselves is powerful. It's even more powerful when applied to our parents. I really like what Zach said about that. We are all traumatized children raised by traumatized children. My parents were traumatized children and they did the best they could raising me. I am a traumatized child and I did the best I could raising my children. My children are traumatized children and they will do the best they can raising my grandchildren. I think that being able to recognize and accept this is the first step toward healing this kind of trauma.
