I have the lived experience that knows that we create these monsters. THAT is the most heartwrenching part for a parent of an emotionally immature, undisciplined adult. We FAILED to discipline them as children but if we are fortunate, we get an opportunity to be better examples and help them change later but the majority of the time we just roll up with our cognitive dissonance and go buy another thing to assuage our guilt instead of dealing with the trainwreck we created.
