@@SquatUniversity I’ve been dealing with SI pain and uneven pelvis for 4 years now. My chiropractor manually manipulates my pelvis back into place but it’s just a temporary fix. I’m tired of wasting time and money. I feel like a sucker to the program. I think I might be over stretching and my problem is weak muscles that need to be activated. The pain is on my right side. This short perfectly describes my problem. Is there a name for that mobility drill or do you recommend anything that I can look up?

GP’s don’t know how to do this & only have 15 min w patients. Ibuprofen for short term pain fits their medical model. If it’s chronic long-term pain, then they should refer u to hip or back dr, who would probably take Xrays & then refer u for PT. So see a Physical Therapist to get these kinds of treatments.

That is probably because the first two are quacks and not medical professionals but pseudoscience manipulators, and the doctor was likely not trained as a physical therapist and did not have the specialized knowledge. So, in this and other shorts (which I've been watching and appreciate, btw), where there is pain or movement restriction due to something like a specific lack of mobility, a restriction around a specific joint, a strength imbalance or whatever, and you address it with specific exercises, and the issue appears to be solved (can squat pain-free to full depth, etc.)... Do you have to do these corrective exercises for the rest of your life (kind of an eternal pre-hab)? Or can you lay off them and maybe bring back as needed if the issue starts to re-present itself? Also, for us schlubs trying to train on our own, without access to a top-tier, analytical mechanic such as yourself, any tips for identifying and trying to correct our own hitches (aside from watching vids and trying to educate ourselves that way)? (I know "without access" can be questioned -- most of us can probably find a good training partner or a worthy, sports-minded PT with some effort -- but there are more people I don't trust that way than people I do!)

Meanwhile as a hypermobile person I had the immediate thought of. Oh no, I feel so bad for this dude when hypermobile people with issues come in. Cuz like for instance the leg mobility thing, I can touch the soul of my foot to my crotch. Yet I have issues with my kneecap falling out of socket to the point nearly every day I have to kick my left leg in a certain overextending way to jostle the kneecap back in place, always let's out a loud crack as everything realigns. And hell the other day I though I broke all the toes on my left foot, but then found out I had just dislocated all my toes, just by rolling them back into their sockets bloodflow was restored and I was able to feel my toes again and my foot didn't feel like a sponge. I mean it's actually a subluxation but still even a subluxation is a partial dislocation and pretty much the same sensation just not as damaging.
