It isn't your typical boring bash them up show, it adds comedy and a sense of intimacy with some of the super hero's. You get to see them in their more mundane states having awkward interactions. One of the biggest complaints was how they turned she hulk into Karen hulk because she broke out of the story to complain to the writers, just like she did in the comic books, but when it happend in the comic books it was cool, when it happens on the MCU its man hating. That's why idiots talking shit on the internet are trolls, because their opinions are not based on reality, they are based on bitter rejection from any female they ever talk to.

The message. All they want is a vehicle to push their own ideologies and thoughts onto the masses, which is crystal clear when you see they’ve spent more time on useless filler crap than story or character arcs in the show. THEY EVEN KNOW THIS. That’s why the finale spiraled into a collective sh*t show, and instead of actually figuring out an ending, they played their ace… Speaking to the manager. What I really love is how Gao and the writers don't seem to know what a troll really is. A troll is someone who says something controversial/annoying to get a rise out of the person they're trolling. That's not what people are doing with She-Hulk. People are legit pissed that a character they love was so badly portrayed, that the show was so badly written and unenjoyable. Complaining about that isn't trolling, it's just criticism. Ironically the only real trolls here are Gao and her staff, along with the mainstream media who keep enabling their mediocrity.
@JeffNyman2 жыл бұрын
Yep, I entirely agree. But this is common on social media in general. Trolling sometimes morphs into being used for people that simply have a differing opinion. But I entirely agree with you: they seem to be mistaking criticism for nothing more than some ill-founded attack just for the sake of attacking. To be fair, a lot of that is due to the melodrama some of the critics use (such as these videos, for example) to be interesting and get clicks. So the very valid critical message gets lost in the style of the messenger.
@Nabo422 жыл бұрын
@@JeffNyman That is a good point. It also doesn't help that we've transitioned into a strange society where the joke meme "everyone I don't like is a not see" has become mainstream. Somehow it just became acceptable to dehumanize people over slight disagreements. Personally I blame Twitter.

@finalmidnight2 жыл бұрын
I'd given even more nuance to that definition. Someone who says controversial/annoying things to upset people is a griefer. They have the explicit goal of transcending the limitations of the medium (distance, text, etc ...) and having a negative emotional impact on their audience. They are most effective when they get really personal. They don't care about the subject at hand, they don't care about what they are saying; A griefer has picked their stance and words to have the maximum negative impact on the targeted audience. I would go on to define a Troll as someone who *pretends* to be a member of a certain group, and uses that group identity to sew discord and create enmity, resulting in the demonization of that group. Trolls take our pre-conceptions of group identities and use that as a wedge to cause hostility between social groups, and they do it from the safety of anonymity. It is the age old game of: "Lets you and him fight" For example a person pretending to be a vegan posting to a cat owners forum. They play to all the stereotypes of vegans, and they berate everyone, because meat is murder. Yes, they know that cats are obligate carnivores; they eat only meat or they die. That is the point. Due to the nature of the internet, it is absolutely impossible to know if a Troll believes a single thing they are saying. It is also impossible for anyone to know which groups they are actually a member of. Time and time again we have seen Internet Drama where the worst actors turn out to be running false flag attacks. Congratulation, you got Trolled.

In the comics Jason Aaron did the same "you don't know how hard it is to be a woman and get catcalled" in comparison to the Hulk and it was stupid as hell there too. And if he’s actually still running the show around there then he really should have fired Jessica on the spot after her tantrum and hired someone who knew what they were doing, now when anyone thinks of She-Hulk she will be viewed as a Karen instead of the cool character that she actually is in the source material.

Yesterday I watched all the episodes of She-Hulk and I was disgusted by what I saw. They might had a good idea but delivered an awful, cringe, feminist, male ridiculing (misandrist) "comedy" with no real humor or funny jokes. It was frustrating and embarrassing to watch. Worst than anything I saw from Disney.

@@thelasttaarakian Eventhough there are some flaws in anime but atleast they don’t change established characters and self insert themselves in it. They just create new characters for that. It feels more natural and better. Characters feel themselves. Plus there is different genres. There are some that can be cringy or way too weird but there are some that are just great. Look at Full Metal Alchemist, Steins;Gate, Death Note or Attack on Titan. These are very different kinds of plot. Watch one of them, and you will see why Hollywood and Comics aren’t doing as well

If you can become a Hulk just with a bit of Banner's blood and immediately have full control of the Hulk, then why wasn't his blood ever given to an army to help fight oh I don't know.... Thanos maybe?

I've said the same thing about Iron Man's suits. Imagine how the battle in NY would've gone if we'd had thousands, or even *hundreds* of thousands, of Iron Man suits there to defend it.
@danielkrcmar53952 жыл бұрын
@@dougsmith6262 I think Iron Man is easier to defend because it's private intellectual and technological property. The Hulk however was created in a government lab right? They should have free reign to use it as they wish?

They've covered this in the comics: because the way the Hulk-style transformations affect people depends on their personality and they're more likely to be bad than good. You won't end up with a bunch of She-Hulks. You'll end up with some She-Hulks, some Hulks, some Abominations, some Leaders, some Red Hulks, some Red She-Hulks and some god knows what else. EDIT: I should probably point out that the reason Jen Walters' turn into a Hulk went so well is precisely because of how happy and well-adjusdted she is. Her cousin his issues from being an abused child so he turns into a child-like rage monster. She doesn't have any issues so she gets to be a smart, funny, superhero supermodel bombshell. Having her have underlying problems with fear and anger _should_ have affected the way her Hulk form behaved but didn't. Because the writers don't know anything about the characters they're working with.

The funny part is, that if the goal was to own the "trolls", it's simple. Put in great effort and make something of good, or better yet exceptional quality. If anyone fits the mold of their strawman, everyone else just ignores them, or can still dismiss them in good faith. And from praise for writing to the money made, they'd win on all sides. But, that would require putting the spite aside... and talent.

Seriously, I really think modern Hollywood writers are just the writers of really bad fanfics that have grown up and wormed their way into the industry. The humor is hamfisted, the self-inserts are peak fanfic, they inject their own personality and hobbies into the storyline and they can't write a villain worth a damn.

In the end I am so happy that they made this show, it just shows what their priorities are, now because of that, I don’t have to spend any more money on movies tickets. I have no interest in seeing anything that comes out anymore. And my wife and I, at one point at least, we’re asked by employees at the local Regal, how much money we spent monthly on movie tickets? Which it wasn’t a lot for us but Id say much more than the average couple. We’d go see everything but now we don’t even think about it. The movies are all hot garbage, especially anything from the MCU. I hope they like the bed they built, because the woke mob doesn’t spent shit supporting these companies.

The thing that really bothers me is how these corporations gobble up IPs that were once unique, strange, and niche, and just.... transforms them into what they want them to be, with no respect for the intent of the work or the fans who have come to expect some consistency after being in the fandom for decades. It's like when the new manager shows up and changes all the office policies in one day and fires a bunch of coworkers who experience cognitive dissonance with the sudden paradigm shift. Disney doesn't seem to understand the concept of creating NEW products to cater to their current creative direction. Instead, they coopt old established properties, corrupt them, and then blame the fans for backlash. This has been happening since the 30's when they started adapting fairy tales. It will never end.
