really enjoyed this audit. Am working on setting up my own Etsy shop and loved your advice for the shop owner. Only problem I now have is that I was finally set on a great shop name and some initial product ideas (it will be pod) but all these wonderful ideas about the travel niche, which I enjoy as well, has me rethinking my strategy. Darn it you guys. lol. Seriously, loved this audit.

I've been through a lot of youtube etsy channels and gotta say, you and one other are definitely the best out of the 10 or so I've tried. Could you please help me out with something that might be just a quick question. Otherwise, maybe we could do a mini audit. I have had the etsy shop for about 4 months. I added a product about a month ago and it took off like crazy, out selling all other listings combined. I feel like I should do something to tame this stallion of a seller before it rides off into the sunset! I'm not even sure why the product sells so well, i have another that is an exact copy of the listing except for one word but it hardly even gets any views. I've tried adding similar and related products but they aren't even doing a tenth as well. Any tips would be awesome. Even a link to a video that might help since I've just found you guys a month or two ago so i haven't seen'em all yet. Thanks a lot

Fine Art Public Domain paintings of places a person travels to in a country or continent. I would stick to one style e.g. impressionism, arts and crafts, etc. Fewer paintings on a tote bag for example - only four so they can be seen better and maybe frames or background or other elements added. Just ideas.

Question, when you first put a design up on Etsy and advertise it, do you put all your advertising on just that one product or do you let the rest of the products you have in your store stay under that advertisement?

I am doing exactly what she's been doing so far. I need a side income and decided to get on the Etsy bandwagon with POD products. I started looking at trends and went after things I thought people wanted, and not what I would want. A zillion KZbin videos later, I still don't have a solution, just a few random products in my store that nobody has really looked at. I'm trying to do the research before making all the mistakes when I saw this video. Now I at least know what NOT to do.

@@brandcreators Thanks. I gave it more thought after this video and I decided to try a niche that is based on myself and my favorite hobby. I built a seperate shop with a relevant name. I"m not out to make a million bucks and stay at home. My goal is to help my youngest daughter be able to stay home with her special needs children. Right now she is working part time to suppliment her husband's income (he already works 2 jobs) but finding sitters for your children with autisim is harder than you might think and expensive if you find one willing. So far you guys are my favorite content creators for Etsy selling. You keep it down to earth and don't add fluff or unreal expectations.

Personally, I think I would focus more on the love of travel, and stay away from location specific ideas…location specific is what you buy when you are traveling and want to bring home a souvenir.

On this video the ads were OK, but i also had some shop audit videos with ad breaks every couple of minutes so i stopped watching. It can really be very annoying.
