This was a great audit of the shop. The shop is wonderful and great visuals. I am not Goth at all but I like this style and the products. I might find this by a tag like, Elegant Edgy or edgy elegance. I would not search for Goth or Wichen or biker. I wish Etsy seller much growth in her shop!

I think the ring should be mocked up differently- no offence but without tattoos - especially if you want to be perceived as elegant niche. Video showing it also.

I think goth or punk might exclude potential customers - this is extremely cool jewellery for everyone. I'm not gothy at all and I would want these designs! How would these designs pop up for me as a potential customer? 'edgy handmade jewellery'? And the price needs to be waaaay higher - these are luxury pieces. I would spend £30 on these white earrings..... and I'm on a budget. These would be amazing gifts too. This shop will make a ton of money once she gets her head around marketing. I think she should put photos of her making the pieces on the listings too

I agree with her that if you put the target market at the beginning, all her titles are going to look the same in her shop because only the first 60 characters are going to show. I think that could be put second after the basic description so the titles look different. Like Edgy Dagger Ring for Goth Chic...

I am willing to bet a good portion of sales will be going to non goth people just trying to connect somehow with a gothic family member. So then whats grandma most likely to type in to find something for a gothic grandkid? So even if the some of search term are cringe for most Goths looking for fashions, it is necessary for reach.

SEO is minimal compared to quality products, pictures, and videos. Don't be mislead.

That depends on how you define SEO. You need to have the keywords people are using in your listings, regardless of the quality of the product, but there's no need to get obsessive and think you have to write for robots...which seems to be an all too common approach

@@brandcreatorsFunny you should say that, because I was going to ask a question about the 'writing for robots' issue. Around 42:13, Chris (I believe is who it was) rattled off an example title I won't try to type here as it was kinda a lot, but it started with goblincore and something about rose and dagger earrings, something about anniversary, basically stuff one might search for to find the listing. Wasn't that more for the bots than for a human? I've heard advice that goes that you want to make your titles human readable, so the person searching doesn't look at your title and read a bunch of word salad/gibberish. Is it basically trying to find a balance between algorithm-friendly and human-friendly, where you want to incorporate both without getting hung up on one or the other?

You likely heard that Advice from us because that's how we like to see titles written.
