Demonizing kids for liking their teachers shouldn't be attacked, it should be understood. I remember the least popular girl in school struggling to be accepted, no matter what she did and the more she tried...the more she was hated...how is that fair? We attack people for trying..? We don't need more hate or anger in the world...we need understanding...communication and acceptance. How else will people grow? If people stay angry, and socially outcast, and feel like no matter what they do and how hard they try they will NEVER fit in....guess what we get....columbine shooters. The short story is, what usually makes you "belong" in a bathroom and look normal, is your femininity, not your sexuality. If a trans woman looks, acts and talks like a woman, no one really stares.
