The patient with lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus or SLE) has returned for the third treatment in this 7 month series. Although she still gets quite a bit of callus formation on her left foot, she has made a great improvement. All of the calluses on feet are shaved. I understand her pain I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia and when you aren't able to get the medication you need and you have a flare is terrible. I am not saying that it is the only reason why you may have a flare, but to be in flare because ppl don't care about us who actually need it to be able to control their auto immune disease is horrible. When you are in a flare you are in so much painful you can't do anything but ball up cry and pray to feel better. There are times that your pain is so bad that even having to go to the bathroom is terrible cause you have to use your hands, it's hard to sit down and stand back up cause your ankles, knees and hips hurt.

Thank God she's in remission! I have Fibromyalgia, Peripheral Neuropathy and EM. I get Fibro flu so I kind of understand the all over pain. People like us look normal so some people don't believe we're in pain. God Bless!

When we say everything hurts, we literally mean places on the body that we didn't even know we could feel. 😂 She's in remission? Hallelujah! I wish I was in remission. As someone who also battles lupus this was wonderful to see. I had issues getting plaquenil and was only able to get half of my prescription and went without for almost 4 weeks. It wreaked havoc. So sad to know that so many of us struggled to get it. As always I learned so much from this video. Thank you!

I have lupus, too. I only have one bad foot! I try to keep on top of it though. It is very frustrating. I've gotten great tips from you with the creams and shea butter. I was on plaquenil for four years. Then, I went into remission. I find that the less sugar and salt in my diet, the better my skin responds. I try to give myself a pedicure at least twice monthly. You are a good doctor.

I also have SLE and deal with your patient’s issues. I’m 70 now and was diagnosed at 35. I have the really bad dry skin that Dr. Oz cured for me. One of his shows was totally on coconut oil. I took his advice went to the baking isle at the grocery store and bought a bottle of coconut oil meant for cooking with, about $8.00 for half a gallon. The dry skin on my legs was so bad I had what looked like canyons running down my shins. I’d been to a dermatologist and she’d given me her best suggestions for healing but all these creams had done was maintain the status quo. But once I started using the coconut oil it was amazing, it just soaks into your skin like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Those canyons went away and haven’t come back. My feet look great. When I started using it I would rub some on, watch it soak in, rub more on, watch it soak in and rub more on until it quit soaking in. Coconut oil is really a fabulous product. If I could send you a picture I would. I literally have no lines around my eyes. No one believes me when I tell them I’m 70. Dr. Oz shaves with it. Also there is a really cheap product for callus removal I get at Bed Bath &Beyond that looks like a hunk of foam. Ivy used it for years. It’s gentle but effective. Fits nicely in your hand and I can maneuver it between my feet and hold it firmly enough to do my toes. I’m in a wheelchair now because of all of my autoimmune issues so I’ve had to be innovative at times. These are just two things I think would help your patients who are dealing with this issue.
