Very poor hygiene when you see that amount of thick, scaly feet. This is easily remedied w/ soaking in a dollar basin & very warm soapy water, thorough rinse & a vigorous towel rub. Comes right off w/ a few repetitions.Thick cream (not lotion), rubbed in. As a retired, 35 year PTA, I saw plenty of this in hospitals & nursing homes & helped them. The nurses did not have time. We made it a priority in physical therapy.

Any Doctor who ends up with a patient addressing him as "Man" should be teaching classes to doctors on bedside manner and how to treat patients with respect. Dr. Jefferson, you addressed your patient as "Brother" and "Man" in a number of your questions and statements to your patient and that did more to put him and me at ease than anything you did. I am seriously jealous. I have been a diabetic since 1976 and only two doctors in my life have put me at ease like you did with this patient. Folks seem to think the abundance of dry skin between toes and around the toenails is fungus. He has circulatory issues that causes excess dry skin. As the patient said, he felt shame around his feet and men aren’t socialized to take care of their feet like women are. He just needed some good ol exfoliation and lotion. There’s a difference between “washing” your skin and “exfoliating” your skin. I’m so happy with this transformation 💚 you leave the feet looking taken care of as opposed to other less thorough pediatrists only treating the nails and leaving the skin looking like a complete mess.

I just don't buy that. If a person, male, female, or in between, doesn't want to take care of BASIC self care, then they can take responsibility for it. It's not momma's or daddy's fault, or wife's fault, or society's fault. It's each person's fault. Period. I am the last person who is going to give a man a pass for not take a bath, using a washcloth, and a nailbrush. The shame comes from not taking care of himself.
@rowsieiacono924 жыл бұрын
@@idontextback you cannot judge someone because you just don't know their circumstances. He is a 74 year old male. He looks after his elderly father who would probably be high needs. Money is tight for him. Being that age, men were never taught to look after their feet like women were. Having a rams horn such as that can be the result of a nail injury and unfortunately once the nail bed is damaged, it can never be repaired to look normal again. The Doc mentioned that his dry skin is due to his poor circulation. Again being old school, moisturising his feet is a girl thing to do. Dear patient, you were a pleasure. You have learned what all of Dr Jefferson’s followers know. He is the BEST at what he does. He does a thorough job for each patient, explains what he’s doing, and teaches us all as we watch. We all feel the card he has for whom ever is in his chair . I have watched various other foot doctors on here , the past several months and was consistently disappointed in the care they were given. Saw blood drawn too many times snd the end result appears like it’s about half time in Dr J’s chair!!! He blows them all away , in every area of the appointment . I’m back to stay DrJ. We love you man ❣️

As someone who has a general practice that just, doesn't care. You've given me a big smile and a happy heart knowing there ARE fantastic doctors out there who truly care. As someone who lost her Grandfather because he wouldn't speak up, it lifts my spirits to see how much he started opening up to you about his health.

Congratulations. Thank you for the video and many more videos. Dr. Kevin J. is explaining to his new patient about the growth of toe nails. Some people watch their toe nails growing but be in denial. They allow fungus to grow and do not care. Some of these people are homeless, but too proud to say that they are. This patient is asking questions. Dr. Kevin is very caring and explaining what it is about his feet.The patient will leave with healthy feet. I hope the patient gets the help that he needs. It's very sad. Everyone is greatly appreciated. Love always, Patricia ❤🎉😊Great job!

All I have to say is that I'm glad I'm Australian, because we have an amazing public system. No one should have to be in pain because they can't afford health insurance. I get really upset when I see patients in this predicament

Lynne Andersen That sort of ignorance has cost MANY people their lives and a lot of UNNECESSARY suffering. Time to stop the bullshit and implement free health care for Americans who can't afford it sometimes at NO FAULT of their own!!

Why can't we care for our elderly the way they do in Asia? If you ever go to an Asian country such as Japan or South Korea you'll see that the younger generation treats the elderly with high levels of dignity and respect.

Canadians also I presume. My feet at 70 are really good. Straight toes and no problem nails. This is a terrible way to have to live. He needs to soak feet and clean away dead skin.

Dr. Jefferson, you deserved that compliment and praise you were given. I too am very pleased with you, watching you take the time to answer questions and teach your patients. The respect you give and show People is like what Yeshua would do. Thank you for being a example and reminder of how We All need to treat each other. May GOD continue to bless you on your journey of life.
