@@AB_Sees Her deep 3's spread the floor. Once the defense is too spread she'll drive to the rim. When she's double-teamed, you can bet an open teammate is about to get a perfect pass. She is so good at taking whatever the defense gives her. Funny story about "playing against girls". At age 8 or 9 she couldn't find a challenging enough girls league and joined a boys team instead. Agreed. The combination of ball handling, passing, shooting skills and hustle, but it is her knowledge of position, angles and knowing where her teammates are at all times that makes her phenomenal. The only way she can be stopped truly is when she has a bad shooting game, which doesn't happen often. She is comparable to a female version Larry Bird. “Generational Talent”. The NBA has seen this before, that’s why the NBA start’s both current and retired spoke out for and about Caitlin’s game so quickly. I understand the WNBA not recognizing it but they’ve had some through the years but they haven’t been a cohesive organization like the NBA and they don’t have the years.of history. The NBA were trying to help them see what they recognized much earlier and they tried to do it by being respectful, yet they’ve had to called them out also. I think more and more of the WNBA player’s are getting it, now if certain media types would understand that and stop being so biased, hateful and petty about it because it doesn’t help the other player’s, getting on board with positivity and letting them play hard on the basketball court but with sportsmanship is what all Americans want, love and honesty truly need. These is a great and amazing things for everyone and please remember she and others are young, it’s already bringing others player up to their best play and she 22 years old like her jersey, she’s still a baby so imagine once they’re more settled in with a couple year under their belts. It’s something that exciting and everyone want’s to be watching as it happens. Mann o’ man she’s dangerous in so many ways already and I’m thrilled for everyone of the player’s.

It was the first time he’d had to deal with the three pointer, and he had a couple of great shooters. He would start to yell when Louis Dampier would take a three on a break, especially if Artis Gilmore or Dan Issel would pass it out to him, until he was shown the math. When the NBA finally adopted the three, he embraced the three n the break until he realized he didn’t have the shooters.

Yes, it would be nice to see Iowa win it all. The problem they're going to have in the tournament is rebounding against teams like LSU, South Carolina, and Stanford, whose bigs will post up inside and just drop buckets. But...we'll see.

yea, Iowa is not a good rebounding team, specifically offensive rebounds.

She's awesome. Her quick release money stroke & ability to Not have to put the ball on the floor to remain in rhythm and stay on point effortlessly reminds me more of Klay Thompson's hair trigger, quick as F**k, indefensibly demoralizing & lethal shots. She's even got a similar proportional build and long arms, high release point that's difficult to block or effect like Klay.👀 Thanks for putting together such an great compilation video & loved the commentary too.😉👊🥰😎

I never cared about basketball until my wife became the AD at her 2a high school three years ago. And it took us winning our state championship for me to get truly excited about it. And I tell you, it’s taken Caitlyn Clark to get me into college ball. Even as a rank novice, it’s obvious that she’s something special. She’s poetry and pageantry. She is just so much fun to watch.

I watch every one of her games because you never know what she’s going to do. She’s must see tv. I’ll be filling out a women’s bracket this year for the first time. Much more hyped for the women’s tourney than the men’s. I hope she drops a 50 point triple double on someone in the tourney.

She is awesome and I even have Iowa winning the national championship on my bracket even over my favorite team. There has been a lot of discussion about her and Pistol Pete and the different era's. No freshmen could play in his era. No 3 point line, and no shot clock. But one area that isn't discussed when comparing her to Curry, etc is her ball is smaller. That does make a difference. Range and accuracy are also affected by a smaller ball. But she is still a phenom.
@aharanha7 ай бұрын
Female athletes are generally smaller, lighter, shorter, with smaller hands, so it kind of offsets most of the advantages of a smaller ball. Still, the ball is smaller relative to hoop size, but factor everything else in, and I don't think ball size is that big of a deal. Most women can't just walk up to a hoop and easily dunk, while most men can. I think men have plenty of advantages built in by way of biology.

What's also incredible is her accuracy. These aren't bouncing around hitting rim then going in. These are dropped in perfect no matter where or who's jumping at her. That's so amazing to me. That's an athlete who gets up every day and shoots 3s until her arms hurt

She is redefining how the game of basketball will be played in the future. The ease and style with which she shoots will soon be emulated by a whole generation of players to come - male and female. I remember when I first saw her shoot a shot. I got out of the chair and waited for the next shot to see how it was done. It is an effortless move that doesn't seem to require great strength. One straight flick of the arms. I'm a senior with a pending knee replacement. If I could still shoot I would be out there tomorrow trying that shot. She'll play well wherever she goes. When they step out to guard her she'll deliver an assist underneath.

@AB Sees On the long range observation you made about Steph, Damian and Caitlin: If I recall correctly, WNBA Stats, a channel by a Steph Curry fan (I'm one too) revealed an incredible detail. On average, ie statistically, as a WNBA rookie, Caitlin shoots a few cms deeper than Steph or Damian. I was stunned by that so I revisited Steph and Damian's 3 ptrs in different peak seasons. It is not even up for debate: at the very least, this 22 yo rookie hits as deep as two of the most successful sharp shooters in history. On top of that: Steph commented months ago he found it incredible that they measured her release time and it is almost the same as his. Two 1.88m tall guys started a revolution in the NBA this century, and this 1.82m tall rookie followed suit. Incredible. EDIT: WNBA Stats did several videos on her shooting stats. But JxmyHighroller did one FANTASTIC video with very detailed comparisons between Caitlin and the best NBA stars. It's called The Harsh Truth About Caitlin Clark Basically, this 22 yo from Iowa shoots as deep as Steph, Damian, Eric Gordon and Trae Young. 😮

One thing that I have been seeing in the professional games is that teams are starting to double-team her. This, of course, leaves one of her team members open, so she gets an assist. As she continues to get better from her rookie year (assuming no injuries), teams are going to have to do a full-court press just on her to keep her from scoring, and I don’t think that is possible.

She is the most exciting player in many years in all of college ball. I think some of the problem with coming out so far on her is her ability to blow by defenders and either score from mid range, at the hoop, or drop dimes all day long. She is a nightmare for any opposition. Great reaction. She is certainly one of the best shooters I have ever seen.
