Yes just like cars and anything else people buy them on rent-to-own terms and if they fail to make their payments it gets REPOED.
I understand people fall on hard times and that sucks but it all comes down to responsibly,
If you can't pay you can always voluntarily return the it.

I wouldn't have even walked in the door, with the chance of snakes and other animals in there along with the bad air. The person who cleans that should wear breathing protection and get one hell of a bonus, thanks for bringing us along.

They had a pretty nice set up there. I'm sure a fox, raccoon, or even a weasel killed those chickens but dang they could have got rid of the dead bodies. Have had that happen to me but I didn't just leave them to rot. Another thing that drove me nuts was the empty feed bags just thrown on the floor. I always folded mine up and stuffed them down in another one then put it in the trash. Nothing like providing a home for mice and rats and copperheads love those bags to hide under and in.

With those conditions I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the other chickens. With that many feed bags there must have been hundreds of chickens in there.

@@jonahkrompart Or, they just NEVER cleaned it out. With all that manure in there, who knows. But they missed out on some of the BEST fertilizer for their garden! They could have stacked the dead chickens in a pile and then covered them with all that manure. Let it compost for a year and they would've had some real "gold" for their garden.

I think I would have pushed all those bags out the door before I moved the shed , but Iam old school and things would probably get ugly real fast , but I can't stand stupidity among people like that who think its alright not to clean up their mess. Your patience with dealing with people like that says a lot about your character. Keep up the good work.

My mother raised chickens and us kids cleaned out the roost. Shovel and buckets, nasty stinky job but mama's gardens fed half the little town we lived in not to mention all the canned and frozen vegetables we had for winter. Sweet memories of a long ago time.

My Mom had chickens and I did too. Their house was always cleaned out and no dead ones. I can't even imagine the smell. I even worked on a chicken/egg farm and it wasn't that bad.

HI! I really wish that there was a built in "trap door" that you could swing open when the customers leave their animal droppings in the building for you (and others) to deal with/clean up. In these scenarios, that trap door could swing open and ALL that poop could get dumped off on their lawn or driveway instead of back at your repo lot. Seems more fair to me... LOL! IDK about you, but I think that chicken sh*% is THE WORST smelling sh*% of all. PU, that had to be horrible, how disgusting can people be? Oh my goodness.

That shed was disgusting. Do you recieve extra pay for dealing with the poor conditions where these sheds are at, and the cleaning of trash out of them and health concerns from the possiable diseases you could get? Then this shed is almost impossiable to re sell with the stink that will remain. I still cant believe the disregard and lack of respect for other peoples property that some of these people have.

I’m not even sure that they can re-sell it. If it were me, I would not buy a used chicken coop. The disease that could be in there could wipe out someone’s whole flock.

People who start raising chickens soon learn how relentless raccoons are-they have agile paws that are just like hands, and they will find any weakness in your coop-once they are in, they will kill every chicken before even eating one. When I had chickens, it was a never-ending war with those raccoons.

In Minnesota here rust and salt get everything. I have rewired a few of my trailers and the best thing I have done is always ground the trailer really well and run power and ground wires to every light and connection anyway. Extension cords work good. I always keep everything soldered and sealed up. It helps a lot and issue free for many years. I guess I should clean my chicken coup, not bad like this at all just time. Always taught if I won't drink the animals water or nap in their coup/shed then it's time to clean.

I hope that when these people rent these buildings they have to put down a security deposit to cover the expense of cleaning them out, disassembling fences, emptying trash, etc. And I hope you get a fair share of it.

I bought one of these 12x24 buildings 6 years ago. All i paid was $100 down, they delivered it about 1 week later, it then took them 4 months to send me the payment info.

Go online and buy a jug of salt away. Do you put it in a sprayer or your pressure washer after winter and wash all the frame of your truck and all up in the wheel wells all that stuff on your trailer and it’ll neutralize all that salt and you won’t get rust.

Greetings Josh & Sarah -- You are true pros! Just another thought on getting the sheds cleaned and ready to go when you get them - The shed company should start charging $350.00 initially when the shed is leased, or bought on payments. If the shed is paid off, the 350.00 is returned within 30 days to the buyer. If the shed buyer or lease holder defaults, or if the lease ends, they only get their 350.00 back if shed is clean, and ready to go when you pick it up. The way the system is now, the defaulting leaseholder or buyer has no skin in the game. Best Regards from Nevada, ~ Bob

None of us knows what other peoples situation is. That was a very nice laid out building and care was taken to provide roosts, water, etc. Sometimes things just get out of hand and you cant keep up. Id like to have that building for chickens. If the floor can be fixed.

I know you’re young and healthy, but a word to the wise, when you see that kind of situation again, before you go in, get a mask of some sort, you don’t want to deal with the kind of mold or spores you may encounter in a place like that, not fun to deal with, maybe a lifetime problem.

this is a good question, but if they wont pay for the building, you probably wont get any money for damage.

@@lavenderblue489 yes probably but do the rental companies take action against the debtor whether it be thru the court system.. collection agency..or nasty phone calls/letters. I can't imagine that the debtor just walks away free and clear.

@@lumpylou4220 Renters are on a program that the payment is part rental payment, and part payment on the building. So the renter loses more than the building, they lose the amount of payments that they have, plus the deposit. I used to sell these buildings. I know how the rent to own works, and anything in or built inside the building or attached to the outside can also be taken. The agreement explains all of that. And its a no credit check deal. So credit is not affected, which if they had good credit they wouldnt need rent to own in the first place. So the renter hasnt actually walked away free and clear. They have lost the building and all money invested in it.
