Yes just like cars and anything else people buy them on rent-to-own terms and if they fail to make their payments it gets REPOED.
I understand people fall on hard times and that sucks but it all comes down to responsibly,
If you can't pay you can always voluntarily return the it.

When we moved out to the country, we bought land with almost zero storage. We ended up donating or gifting about 60% of our stuff. I never felt more relief! Before anyone asks, no, we have NOT replaced it with more stuff. Today, we build things with what we own in mind, and if we don’t need it, we do not buy it!

​@@murraychadwick9362 it is very hard to fathom. My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer after a lifetime of chain-smoking. Her diagnosis was when she was 60 years old. We sent her to a hypnotist several times but she never really wanted to quit. Her stopping after the diagnosis of lung cancer wouldn't have saved her life but watching her continue to indulge in what was going to kill her was very hard from a family's perspective. After speaking to her oncologist, he explained that at this point the damage was done and if she got any pleasure from smoking why not let her live out her days that way. I didn't like it but he did make me understand from a different perspective so after that point, I never ridiculed her anymore for smoking. She died almost a year to the day after Her diagnosis

Somehow Josh and Sarah’s videos made their way into my KZbin feed and I’m happy. I love watching them. I’m being very enlightened as to how some people live. The junk, trash, garbage, filth! I can’t even. How do they even get approved for a rent to own??? I live in Canada. We pay taxes and have garbage, recycle and compost pick up weekly. Is this not the case in Ohio? They all seem to have tvs, pools, and lots of unnecessary crap but can’t make a payment on shelter?.. I’m at a loss to understand all this. Help me understand.

I think she was saying what she owed went to the end of her contract and she made payment arrangements to come out on the 5th but in the end she called and paid the arrears instead. Now she has a crooked shed on the property lol unless you moved it back. I also got that she was making arrangements to move the storage building to her fiancé’s property. 🤷‍♀️ idk. The correct tamper-resistant bits are available at almost every hardware store. I work on appliances and I have to use them all of the time. They come in bit sets that are no more expensive than your average set of common drill bits.

People hear what they want, and they dont read the legal agreement. It is right in the RTO contract that the purchaser is giving RTO and their representatives permission to come onto the premises, for delivery, and removal if necessary. Im not sure, but I think that you can legally take the stuff in the building also. Any permanent additions stay with the building.

Yo Brother Josh, anyone that finds themselves in a situation where their rent-to-own property is being repossessed for non payment has zero chances of engaging an attorney. It's what we call lip service when these people say, I'll call my attorney and take you to court. The fees they would pay a lawyer just to file a for a court date would surely cover the cost of the shed. Also, a lawyer would not go up against an iron clad contract that the shed company has surely put together to cover all circumstances. I'm glad you don't have that drama to deal with anymore but I will miss watching it unfold each week.

When you rent to own these buildings there is a paragraph in your contract that states you give the shed owner the right to come on your property to retrieve it for missed payments.
