Not quite: "sheared" *is* the past tense of "shear"; "shorn" is the past participle. "I sheared the sheep." "The sheep has been shorn." Many words have identical past tenses and past participles, which is why they're often confused, but for many other words they're different.

For this type of sheep, humans have raised them for growing wool for so long that over generations they have evolved to constantly grow fleece without shedding. If humans do not trim the fleece for them, the fleece will keep growing nonstop, even to the point of completely enveloping and disabling the poor thing. Luckily someone found this guy before it got too bad. This sheep had an ear tag, so it is likely an escaped farm sheep.

Best thing to do with an animal product is to donate it to an animal shelter. Humans should never take it because animals don't belong to us. For ex: this wool can be used to make blankets and sweaters for the animals of this shelter. If your rescued hen gives an egg (unfertile one, not fertile), it can be cooked and given to her. The she'll can be crushed and offered to her as a calcium source. If your rescued cows have extra milk, it can be stored in the fridge or given to motherless calves or again, donated at a shelter. Never use animal products and please go vegan instead to stop animal abuse.
