I watched this video several times to be able to read the tannery label. I found them on google map but there was no website available online and to my surprise their instagram account was not active. Something fairly common among Turkish businesses is that they are absent in online world and if we reach out to them and phone them it would be impossible to communicate in most cases due to language barrier. I visited Istanbul a few months back to visit some of the suppliers in person. Believe me except for two occasions, I failed to speak with them in English 😔 Turkiye has a lot of potential and we miss the opportunity. Traditional Italian businesses are more or less the same. I really need to learn these two awesome languages 🙂

Those LV bags are a big selling item where I live in the south. I personally don't like them. Good to know about them not being leather. I had no idea. I thought they are made of coated cotton.

I just got a Gucci Ophidia tote, a coated canvas with leather trim. I have 2 LV coated canvas totes and it's amazing how different they are from the Gucci. The LV are very thin, soft, they kind of resemble leather. And I can understand why people think they are leather. With the Gucci there is no doubt it's some sort of canvas, and it really holds up well as both a daily and travel tote. It's hard to discolor or tear. You are definitely paying for the name though, in both cases. And both brands have some lovely leather options also.

I have a bag that says the material is this "74% lambskin, 26%". I feel like the bag doesn't have any leather, because it doesn't have that leather smell and if that is the case I will be returning. Thank you so much.

Is it common for the grain of sheepskin to be white and kind of rough or would that not be real leather?
