If one is slow in recitation, and cannot complete a Juz in a day, then he or she can continue to recite in the following days until the Juz is completed. That would not constitution CUTTING the Qur'an into parts. It is when you decide that the first Juz ends at verse 141 (for example) of Surah al-Baqarah), and the second at verse 252 (for example) of Surah al-Baqarah, that you are guilty of cutting the Qur'an into bits and pieces.

In arabic, the verb نجم means also, the segmenting and « decoupage ». Arabs used to say give me 1000 dinars منجمة. It means give me the 1000 dinars in currencies of 1 dinar. This confirms your sayings my dear sheikh.. and that is to say, بعد اعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ولا أقسم بمواقع النجوم. @@makemebelieve589 The beauty of the Lunar Islamic calender is that the month will have 29 days or thirty days and the only way to determine whether it is 29 or thirty is to go outside, look up into the sky and make an attempt to observe the moon. Your location and the time of the year should guide you as to which direction and roughly what time you should expect to see the moon. It is the individuals responsibiity to conduct the viewing - not the governments’. The One who created the moon, The one who causes it to travel its course, the one who created the clouds, the onw who created your eyes and maintains your sight and the one who allows you to see it or allows you to not see it is one and the same….. your Lord, the Most High. If the new moon is not visible by you on the 29th day / evening then you will complete 30 days for that month. If it is visible then th enext month has begun. Muslims leave it to Allah to determine whetther there will be 29 days or 30 days and because the decision is based on real time observations it cannot be hijacked. western civilisation has played with the monthly cycle by creating months with 31 days and so it has to compensate for the falsehood by introducing a month with only 28 days now and again. This allows them to not only control you, your schedule, and your life but also takes you away from the guidance of your Lord. if you go outside and obesrve th emoon regularly as a habit, eventually you will begin to recognise and identify with accuracy the different phases of th emoon and as the years progress you will have a better and better indication where and when the sighting is most likely visible. if someone else from your community sights the moon then it should be witnessed by others and an oath of truth should be taken by those who claim to have sighted it. i hope this brief explanation on a very detailed subject answers your question.

Here is the reference to the ayaat of Surahtul Hijr that Shaykh INH was trying to quote: Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said: وَقُلْ اِنِّيْۤ اَنَا النَّذِيْرُ الْمُبِيْنُ  "And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" كَمَاۤ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلَى الْمُقْتَسِمِيْنَ  "Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators" الَّذِيْنَ جَعَلُوا الْـقُرْاٰ نَ عِضِيْنَ "Who have made the Qur'an into portions" فَوَرَبِّكَ لَـنَسْـئَلَـنَّهُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ  "So by your Lord, We will surely question them all" عَمَّا كَا نُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ "About what they used to do." Initially, after I studied rules to recite quran, I used quran pen and repeat after the reciter and also try to read the letters, I selected slow reciter initially and with in few months I was able read with normal speed and soon I went to reciter with normal speed and now I can recite in the same way, as we complete the quran every month and follow a reciter , you naturally will memorize most of the rules of slide, merge, stop and start which is difficult to memorize

In Arabic language the closest translation to the word (aeideen عضين) is bitten, and bitten is different than making QuraAn portions. Dividing the Holy book to make it easy to recite and translate is a good thing, but here in Surat Alhijr, the meaning is biting out from the QuraAn what suits your desire and leave what you don’t favour, as if you are biting from a sandwich, portion from here and portion from there, not considering the collective purpose and meaning of a specific subject. So believing & following one thing in QuraAn & discarding or refusing to take other things is making the QuraAn bitten , so as Islam, this is the هوى

But it's also true that Allah has pledged to protect Qur'an from, distortion, and interjections from Shaitan, so how can dividing it into 30 equal parts be work of Shaitan. I have a question to Sheikh Imran. My question is that if the Quran ought to be recited the way it wad recited for it be completed in the whole month. So how about those that recite the Quran in the last 10 days without following the pattern you describe in your book? What is the implication of that recitation if it deffers with your pattern as describe by you? Was this pattern you mention was it the pattern Allah recited it to Prophet Muhammad SAW. and how comes we did not hear it before? Was the pattern follow by the immediate Caliphate of Muhammad SAW? The hadith of the young man who asks the messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him “Oh messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) how much Qur’aan should i recite?” the answers that come indicate the boundaries that you should not take longer than ONE LUNAR MONTH and no shorter than SEVEN DAYS to COMPLETE the recitation. The method that the sheikh has outlined is a guide that sets the minimum threshold (taking a full month to recite the qur’aan) which is the least that should be done. This monthly recitation broken down to daily portions is going to be for those that wish to comply with the command as a minimum. if you can do more than that then it is to your benefit so long as you do not complete it in less that seven days. so reciting it witin 10 days is acceptable so long as each day you begin with the beginning of a surah and you and at the end of a surah as you will most definitely be reciting multiple surah’s daily. i hope this answers your question.
