I know I’m loving my bike. 60 miles on it already in the short time I have had it. It’s a nice bike. It does better for me in pedal assist than straight throttle. Now granted I’m a big boy. Even then it gets me up to 17 when unlocked, on the flat. The only upgrades I want to do are get a comfy seat like I put on my jetson bolt, upgrade to a 10Ah battery, and try to find a handlebar extension that I can add my preferred lights and such to. The curved tapered handlebar is making that tricky. I had it to my favorite local trail. When I cam back to my tiny car (Mitsubishi Mirage), I had a fellow rider just staining at me, with a dumbfounded look. As soon as I popped the hatch to put the bike in and folded it in half he yelled “I was wondering how the heck you were going to get that in there! That’s great it folds!”
@ShenRC3 жыл бұрын
That's awesome, If your bigger than me I would get the seat I have I linked it in the video description it will be very good for you it actually has a elastomer suspension built into the seat and will absorb up the bumps for you and make the ride smoother. Thanks for watching.

Don't be afraid to spend money on things that are fun AND give you exercise. I don't have a throttle on mine and much prefer to spin my legs at all times. Believe the other model ( 26LGB) of the rear shock being vertical has a wider based frame. My seat post is not 28.2 for I ordered a shock seat post which was a bit too small by an inch . Had to return the seat post and just kept seat the way it is for my cargo rack( said they don't work on shock seat post) . Bike is doing great since buying in Dec 2022.
@gdinme3180 Жыл бұрын
The main top bar is wider.
@ShenRC Жыл бұрын
Hi you should be able to get a shock post they come in all the sizes for the bikes, you need a micrometer to measure the seat post diameter and then get the correct size, they also make adaptor sleeves to make smaller sized post fit into a larger size bike frame.
@gdinme3180 Жыл бұрын
@@ShenRC Hey Shen, yes, I needed the 30.2 size but I read a review stating of rear cargo racks of the adapter to seat post will not work as the grip of the clamp end be hugging the post bar in return the shocks or spring will stop working due to no slack of clamp. I have spring seats which works well too. But I do use a spring bar( u shaped springy rod as the seat clamp) Works well too. But overall the suspension on the Vivis very good regardless. The horizontal shock( you have) works extremely good of handling bumps as more adapting to direction. My vertical is more up and down suspension while the horizontal ones has more stable as not feeling the suspension of coasting. I have another Next Power Climber with same type of horizontal shocks, I can ride down stair steps of suspension being fluid like I didn't ride down steps( free motion of adapting to level out) . Ride safe Shen and stay aware to be safe.

@@ShenRC What's best about these ViVi model frames is how we can modify bike or even convert parts to a different frame. Only plan to do this if frame gets damaged or break apart. Hi. Thanks very much for your video!!!! I am considering this Vivi bike and it has really helped me with a lot of my questions so I really appreciate your posting this. I don't know much, if anything, about the mechanics of a bike so I feel dumb asking this ...but do you have a video to show how you did the "zoom" extender on the handlebars? I really need to raise the bars like you did due to back issues but don't understand what are the actual steps involved. Even if you don't have a video my biggest question was did you have any issue with all the wires? Were they long enough to raise the handlebars that high? Final question, can I just use the stem riser by itself to raise the height of the handebars if I don't need to change the angle? Thank you so much for your time!!
@ShenRC3 жыл бұрын
Hi I am sorry I don't have a video. What you can do with the stock set up is loosen the stem bolt and raise the whole stem out of the bikes fork as high as it can go I think there's a mark on it put that mark right to the top of the nut on the fork head set and tighten the stem up. also you can raise up your stem angle all the way up as it's adjustable by loosening the allen screws on it and raise it up all it can go. then after that make sure to loosen the two stem bolts to rotate the handlebars so all the shifters and brake levers are in the correct position. I did this at first then I put the parts I have on now later on but I don't think I really needed to do it. Hope this helps

I got caught in a flooding rainstorm 3 fridays ago. Im talking a deluge and i was soaked to my underwear. Needless to say bike was soaked. A few days later i was having issues starting the bike. Im pretty sure control panel is not waterproof as i cant power on off nor switch speed modes. The bike turns on and off automatically once you hit the main switch directly on battery. I got a replacement panel coming from distributor in China. I guess my question is can i use a diffrent type of panel they sell on Amazon as a replacement? Like some newer ones are digital display as the one that comes with bike has led lights and is controlled by actuall buttons. For $15 buvks id be willing to try im just worried i would screw up the bike further. Your opinions?
@ShenRC Жыл бұрын
Hi it may start working after letting it dry out for a longer time. you can also waterproof the new one if you can take it apart and coat the board with MG chemicals lacquer conformal coating they sell you brush it right on and it's what they use to make electronics waterproof. you can also do it easy if you just buy corrosionX spray and spray the whole board that's inside the control unit with it and let the excess drip off and then put it back together. I use both these methods when waterproofing my RC electronics and I can then run the RC cars under water with no problems.. heck you may spray corrosionX on the control panel board you have now and it may start working! Hope this helps

@@ShenRC well, I brought the bike inside my basement put it right next to the dehumidifier, which usually helps dry out a lot of stuff quickly like towels and wet shoes, so I let it sit for two days in hopes of maybe drawing out some of that moisture but with no luck. So what I’m going to do temporary early when the new control panel comes is literally wrap it in a Ziploc bag and tie it shut I can still press the buttons and see the display with no issues. I’m also going to try to make some sort of waterproof towel to wrap over the hole handlebar and battery pack and just use some Velcro to secure it pretty sure they won’t be that hard it will be lightweight and I can keep it in my backpack so when I know it’s gonna be pouring out, I can cover up the gears, the throttle the shifters control panel and phone. I’m not sure if I could do that for the control box at the bottom of the bike but I could try wrapping it in saran wrap I know that sounds funny but better than waiting several weeks for a replacement if it shorts out. And basically I’m avoiding ever driving in that type of rain ever again, thanks for the advice.

I read a review on this particular bike on Amazon and it said that the guy only got at TopSpeed a total of 5 miles out of the battery. I was hoping to get at least 29.5 miles out of a battery with top speed of sitting advertising saying they can get 30 miles per full charge but im thinking its bs

Great video! Good in depth description too. One thing I noticed is on downhill runs my buddy goes a lot faster because he has less resistance on a normal trek mountain bike because his rear rims spins freely obviously. I also rarely use my throttle I let that peddle assist do it's job and then I maintain the speed after by shifting to a harder gear. Because that throttle only will absolutely eat that battery up I was able to get 2 miles unlocked on high with peddle assist only I noticed you went down a bar pretty quickly not sure if you had a long drive before doing speed test but on assist you can almost triple distance compared to throttle
@ShenRC3 жыл бұрын
Yeah when you pedal you get better milage... I don't know why yours don't roll the rear wheel rolls just like a normal bike the cog gearset clicks and then the bearings should make it roll I don't think there is friction coming from the gears or motor inside..maybe your rear brakes dragging? when you lift your bike and spin the rear tire by hand it should spin easy and keep going i am pretty sure...I will double check mine. Thanks for watching. Yep just checked mine spins the same as a normal bike.

Probably, but now what I do is disconnect the pedal assist sensor cable on the crank that goes inside the plastic box the controller unit is in and only use the throttle control on the handlebar. you can go way further now it's better because you can pedal on easy flat or slight down hill grades and save battery power because stock when you pedal even on perfectly flat ground the motor comes on and wastes the battery.
