This will forever be one of my favorite scenes. This is the first time in the series we see Sherlock get truly, truly angry. He knows how badass Mrs. Hudson actually is, and yet the way his face looks when he's able to deduce exactly what happened to her shows how much he truly cares for her, despite what he'll say or do to make it look like he doesn't. He immediately runs to her to console her at his most open opportunity. He doesn't call Lestrade or John right away, because he wants to handle the guy first. It's just one of those scenes that will forever make me happy no matter how many times I watch it. The first time i watched it, when Sherlock's face contorted into that pure rage, I got absolute chills. Benedict Cumberbatch delivers a truly powerful performance through this entire series and everything else he does. But we're not talking about his other work right now, sadly. I'll save that for another video.

"He immediately runs to her to console her at his most open opportunity." - THIS. This made me so happy, for it showed who Sherlock really is behind all the facades that he puts on. :') "He doesn't call Lestrade or John right away, because he wants to handle the guy first." And this too - so thoughtful, so Sherlock! Not just because of the revenge, but also the instinct to call in friends only after all danger is taken care of.

Sean Da Best Not...really? Sherlock does amazing work for the police force, helping them catch criminals far sooner and easier than they could ever hope for. And Lestrade knows that Sherlock is a good person at heart, so repeatedly throwing a person from a window definitely doesn't make sense; unless the guy severely deserves it. And given the case that he and 2 other men assaulted a kind, old woman whom Sherlock is friends with; throwing him in jail for that kind of "justice" really doesn't make much sense. Even if they weren't friends, his work alone would make putting Sherlock in jail more harmful than helpful.
@seandabest6353
@seandabest6353 6 жыл бұрын
Gary Barlow It’s all well and good that he knows the guy, but the law is the law; no matter the reason, if you harm someone you get arrested by the police - what happens after that depends on your intentions and the proof backing them up, which would definitely result in Sherlock being let go (probably - throwing someone out of a window multiple times would still be a serious offence) due to self defence or something. The point is, that’s supposed to come AFTER being taken in by the police, not beforehand.

Got to love this version of Holmes when he gets pissed. He truly is an angry soul for one so calm. "Expect noise" he says, haha. "Oh, its the burgler... he seems to have fallen out of a window" and goes into "And how many times exactly did he fall out of the window?" "I lost count" omg, pfft.

He calls himself a sociopath and yet he couldn’t be more wrong. I believe he likes to label himself like that because it’s a defence mechanism. It permits him to be cold and uncaring when he needs to be.

"sociopath" typically means that he would care about the wellbeing of people he cares about, but not others. That's the difference between "psychopath" and "sociopath", according to google, but these terms are outdated anyways.

According to my research on internet, which might as well be wrong, the difference between a sociopath and a psychopath are that sociopaths can feel low levels of guilt or remorse There are many slight differences, but I do think Sherlock fits better as a sociopath
