Fried Mackerel with Salted Chilli Paste |

FRIED MACKEREL WITH SALTED CHILLI PASTE
Ingredients:
✏️ Ikan Tenggiri Potongan Stik / Steak Cut Mackerel
✏️ Serbuk Kunyit / Turmeric Powder (1 tsp)
✏️ Cili Merah / Red Chillies (200g)
✏️ Cili Padi Merah / Red Bird’s Eye Chilli (2 nos)
✏️ Bawang Merah / Onion (½ nos)
✏️ Bawang Putih / Garlic (4 cloves)
✏️ Limau / Lime (½ nos)
✏️ Garam / Salt
✏️ Minyak / Oil
Instructions:
1. Chop and blend the red chillies, bird’s eye chillies, onion and garlic together with some oil.
2. Season both sides of the mackerel with salt and turmeric powder.
3. Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying your fish. Remove the fish from the oil when both sides are fried until golden brown.
4. Sauté the blended ingredients on a medium heat until the paste is cooked and the oil splits.
5. Use the same oil you used to fry the fish earlier to fry the sauteed chilli paste until fragrant.
6. Season the chilli paste with some salt.
7. Serve the salted chilli paste on the fish, accompanied with some lime juice.
