Here I disassemble a Shimano Citica 200D. While these models are several generations old, this reel is new and unfished. Since it has been siting up, I decided to give it a good clean.

How good can it be in cast light lures or is it really for like big swim baits or something like that

I have ultrasonic washers filled with a mix of hot water and simple green.

I had simple green at my local hardware store but it wasn’t the HD one it was just simple green cleaner so I got another one that’s says degreaser on it called formula 88 I took the reel apart again Are use the grease on it it’s kind of thick and heavy so the thumb bar wouldn’t go down properly but eventually I got to work but I got the penn grease that you recommended Daiwa oil needle and a few other things I was also thinking about polishing the main gear I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of doing that somebody said it’s called super tuning and also adding the Boca bearings to It I also used acetone on the regular bearing

@@matthewgonzalez5019 I have polished the main gears for people. I don't supertune many reels as not many people request it. I use mineral spirits instead of acetone for bearings because its petroleum based.

Bayou Reels I got the reel put back together thanks to this vid I polished that mean gear I don’t know if it’s the grease that you recommended or what but it really helped out a lot Take the reel apart and put back together easily it cast very smoothly
