SHINee's "Colorful" was released in 2013 and it is a song for the fans. It's a special holiday MV that was created to show how much appreciation the members and the fans have for each other. Everything you see in this MV happened in 2013. This was a special video that used clips from all different moments throughout that year, highlighting where the fans' support was particularly important. I think each of these clips were chosen to show that, it was the fans support during each of the examples used in this MV that made that year such a great year for them. So, you see them in several different concert venues and performances. Plus, you see them on the set of some of their most popular MVs, such as their "Dream Girl" MV, "Everybody" MV and "Why So Serious?"MV, which all came out in 2013. Plus, footage of some of their album cover and concert poster shoots. SHINee held special fansign events that filled whole stadiums, and they even took time to hang out with fans in between events when fans gathered outside of radio station studios, in the parking garages as they were going to their next interview or event, and at SHINee's hotels, etc. I think the clip with the fans standing in the long line that seemed to stretch clear down several blocks, was fans waiting for a fansign event. The whole MV is a tribute to Shawols. It's SHINee's way of saying, "Without our fans we would be nothing, " etc. It's us fans that make their life so colorful and in turn they make our lives colorful as well. :D And, where you saw the members dressed up in costumes, was a clip of them dressed up for a fan event that also took place that year. They were one of the first Kpop groups to dress in full costume for Halloween and they are the group that really started the trend of wearing costumes on Halloween. In Korea Halloween really isn't a big deal normally and it's only been in the last few years that Koreans have started to embrace the western way of celebrating the day by dressing up and attending costume parties. But like everything SHINee does, they were one of the first and they are the reason why SM now holds one of the largest and most popular Halloween parties in Korea -- complete with a topnotch costume contest. This is why SHINee won Artist of the Year at the Melon Music Awards -- one of the most prestigious awards in the Kpop industry -- in 2013. The award wrapped up what was one of the busiest and most event packed years for SHINee.

Colourful was such a sweet 5-yr gift to Shawols from SHINee. 🥰 Jjong’s solo albums show how wide is vocal variety is. I can’t even recommend which album of his to start with because they’re all 10s for me, but one of my favourite tracks is Mono-Drama off his 1st album Base. (Unrelated but Jjong in big bulky sweaters or scarves is the cutest thing) Winter Wonderland is a blessing to my ears always, highly recommend while walking in snowfall. It’s otherworldly. ❄️💎💙

SM Town as a whole had a Christmas album back in 2011 (The warmest gift… or something like that), Shinee’s song was Last Christmas on it, so it has a studio version as well. The whole album was a masterpiece, I listened the sh*t out of it that year

'Colorful' is a really meaningful song and mv for both SHINee and Shawols uwu~ 2013 was hell of a year for SHINee, they worked so so hard and it was also the 5th anniversary of their debut~ i was still a Babywol then but 'Colorful' can always bring me to tears looking back at the albums making's memories and how comfortable SHINee was with Shawols TvT we've been through a lot~ also it was my first comeback with SHINee after being a Shawol so it's even more meaningful to me personally hehe~ with 'Winter Wonderland' it was a mini album if i'm not mistaken~ alongside with it came 'Melody' which is also a bop~ they even releashed the special Christmas version LOL i looooove that song so much >w

Thank you so much for reacting to these songs! Finally my favorite shinee ballad, Winter Wondeland, this song really highlighted each members' unique voices and line distribution is perfect. This song proves that shinee is a group with such amazing vocalists, even the rappers (MinKey). True enough at some point as what they said that their position in the group changes because everyone is a vocalist, a dancer and a rapper. What amazes me every time is their harmonies, it is a complete ensemble, a choir-like, that's why shinee ballads are my favorite. And yes, every time I listen to colorful I smile like an idiot while having teary eyes lol.

I joined you on the teary eye rollercoaster :'D Colorful is just such a fun and sweet song but that video and all the memories hits hard, and I'm usually not a big fan of Christmas songs but Winter Wonderland is definitely one of my favorites, it doesn't even have that typical xmas song feel to it, more like a winter-themed amazing ballad. That high note is longer/higher. We need Minho solo album asap >.< Speaking of albums yesss plsss, I'm still waiting for your Key Face/I Wanna Be repack album listening. SHINee and Jonghyun any would do really but if I had to pick just one of each Odd/MTTM repack for SHINee and Jonghyun's 'She Is' these are just masterpieces and so ahead of their time for when they came out in 2015 and 2016 still sound fantastic. I warn you about Jjong's She Is though, that one is hella spicy and sensual but so diverse. Oh and since you have your website now I guess you could react to some of their Japanese releases easier there? (it makes up almost half of their discography and is honestly just as amazing as their Korean stuff but so underrated and full of hidden gems) for starters I'd say their 'Five' is the best when it comes to JPN albums and it's the one that Winter Wonderland is on :)

I feel like they let Minho go off more on japanese tracks aaah.. Also generally japanese ballads just go hard. Only thing missing from this video is their Santa Claus is coming to town MADNESS ahaha. This is just so cute. It's a cute idea for a vid and I love it. Also relate to you crying happy tears bc colorful makes you feel things. It's such a simple song and upbeat and a soft music vid but it's something else. Personally it makes me calm and happy when im sad or anxious. Colorful was a very special video because it wrapped up the crazy SHINee year that was 2013 with 3 Korean comebacks + 1 unpromoted repackage + 3 Japanese singles + 1 Japanese album...and inbetween all that they did a Korean concert and a Japanese Tour. That year was CRAZY and it's only fitting they won the artist of the year award after working so hard (something you should react to, Exo is in it too... it's on KZbin with subs, just look for "SHINee artist of the year 2013"... but bring tissues cause I have never seen such a genuine reaction, and I have seen some genuine reactions in my time). Anyways, that was a little aside, Colorful is a video consisting of clips from all kinda of stuff they did in 2013. That one scene with sleeveless-Minho where they all wear white/red? That was one Inkigayo recording that got delayed for like HOURS, in the end fans had to wait until the middle of the night so SHINee did some fan interaction to reward them and pass the time, and honestly if you look at the clip with Jonghyun you can see how closely he is sitting to the fans without any sort of barrier and they don't try to touch him or invade his personal space, it's a great thing about the SHINee/Shawol relationship. So you tearing up makes total sense. It is an emotional video, in a way.
