Great to watch you guys shining shoes together. I’m a regular on both the channels. Would’ve loved to see a close up of the browns after the burgundy treatment, but I guess Preston wasn’t happy with his result on the mirror shine. Keep the series going, it’s a lot of fun and a great learning experience.

Hi Kirby and Preston, Another awesome shine video - I never started mirror shining until I watched y’all’s videos. Now I’m completely addicted with the end product. I do have a question for both: What are y’alls “schedule”/routine for when y’all maintain the mirror shine or decide to strip the mirror shine? For example, after how many wears, or a length of time? Thanks and keep up the amazing content!

I really enjoy your channel and have learned a lot. The only thing I have to offer is a suggestion on the use of the word “whenever.” “Whenever” is usually used for repeating events (or if the if the time is uncertain) , and “when” for a unique event. A trick is s to replace “whenever” with “each time that...” and see if it sounds right.

I just found Preston not to long before coming here, his channel is how I discovered this channel. He mentioned Allen Edmonds, I then saw a video where you compared a number of shoes which included a pair of Allen Edmonds. Both of you guys have great content. Thanks and congratulations to you both.

Kirby: I have recently bought a pair of Goodyear welted shoes that do not have any sort of traction on the bottom. Would you recommend adding a strip for traction or letting them naturally get scuffed up to gain traction? Fresh out of the box they are super slippery to walk in. Thanks for your help! Keep up the great work.

With dying to dark brown, I read that you are supposed to dye with a light green first to neutralize the red undertones that give you that burgundy color. That said, I've never tried it myself.

I have a pair of light brown Allen Edmonds with a dark bloch that seems to worsen with any moisture. I have tried many approaches to removing it and it just doesn't go away. So I am all too familiar with this defect and I too, have no idea what is the cause behind the defect.
