Great video! I had the same idea to try to get a ribbon master shiny Dunsparce lol. Tbh, even though you can’t see ribbons on a Pokémon’s sprite I’d honestly imagine ribbons looking good on the shiny little serpentines (with most being gold and red and shiny Dunsparce being yellow and pink). I’ve been trying to acquire all the necessary hardware to get a Ribbon Master so wish me luck! I’ve been running into trouble with fakes so that sucks. I’m hoping to get the WiFi ribbon too via AltWFC. I wish you the best of luck with your Dunsparce and I’ll keep trying to get my hardware all ready to take the challenge on!

Congrats on the shiny. Also, this is really well edited. Nice work. I would suggest some different filters/settings on your mic audio tho. Some “s” and “sh” sounds don’t record well, and also I think your bitrate is a bit lower than it could be.

@@KuroAsterisk full disclosure I’m no expert either LOL But from the little experience I do have, I can give you a few more tips that you may or may not already know. First, if you don’t already have one, a pop filter is recommended. They prevent exhaled air from hitting the microphone, which can cause unwanted popping noises. If you’re using a standalone mic like a Blue Yeti, they just need to hover between you and the mic. If you’re using a headset microphone (which is not recommended, but workable), they usually come in the shape of a foam cover on the end of the mic and are often included by default. Second, it’s usually smart to record voice overs in dual-mono instead of stereo. Doing so prevents potential balance issues. (I believe in OBS this can be turned on by toggling “Downmix to mono”) Third, always record in the highest bitrate your setup can handle, and try to keep that bitrate the same every time you export that audio. KZbin will always compress the video and audio of any uploaded file, so avoiding quality drops prior to the upload step is highly recommended. Fourth, research and experiment with software filters. Depending on what programs you use, this can be done upon recording or after the fact with Audacity. I’m not the most knowledgeable with how to properly use filters though, you’re better off finding a guide on KZbin or some kind of audio-related tech forum or subreddit. Fifth, don’t forget to consider your room’s sound profile. This includes obvious stuff like background noise from a loud AC system or fan, but it also includes how sound bounces off the walls and furniture. If your recoding room is ever too echoey, consider putting acoustic foam on your walls. Alternatively, you could try out different rooms in your home. If you’ve got a walk-in closet, I’ve heard clothes can work great for sound absorption. (Now I just need to take my own advice next time I record my voice for anything LMAO)

I'm late to this but congrats on the shiny, I am doing shiny hunt once I beat it the game for my Tropius and then use another memory card for it. If only it was a female, that would of been nice. Haha

@@KuroAsterisk You can get a headstart by checking your Dunsparce’s nature and ability. Due to how a Pokémon’s personality value worked in Gen III, only Dunsparce with a Hardy nature and Serene Grace as their ability can evolve into Three-Segment Dudunsparce. They will evolve into that form 50% of the time.
