Grats, dude!! So glad we finally have confirmation that the first battle will NOT yield a shiny for the trainer. I updated with a pinned comment on my shadow hunting guide not too long ago to hopefully make sure people watching that video know that has been proven to not happen. Also, were you using the mClassic or just HDMI? The quality looks crisp Great perseverance in sticking through with this hunt during the main story for so long!! I could only handle like 300 Bayleef SRs before caving and doing the postgame method lol.

Man I remember back when I was addicted to the game, I somehow managed to find a Shiny Sandshrew in Pokemon XD, and I was completely bewildered, it looked phenomenal, and I still have the memory card to this day with it on it! I hope to one day rebuy a Gamecube, AND A Copy of pokemon XD To see it again!

I'd absolutely LOVE to see more hunts in this game. I honestly prefer the GameCube titles more than the main series because of how they look and their stories. The shinies, too, look good in this game -- not all of them, but they still look great in 3D.

@@REBELxLOPEZ I'm not playing this on a ROM. It's real hardware & it's upscaled to 720p using the mClassic via a GCHD MK II Gamecube adapter. The Gamecube's base resolution is 480i/480p, it's not a SuperNintendo dude. These consoles are constantly being made better and better to 2020 standards. Research on some ways to get better signals from Nintendo consoles (N64 via RBG/480p) as an example. You can make retro consoles look amazing using devices such as the Retro Tink/Framemeister too. Literally, everything I do is on actual hardware.

Amazing job, this reminds me of when I would reset for the dogs to have good natures and ivs. The battles are so long! The premier ball should be available at this point as well, everyone forgets about them ;(

Congrats on the Croconaw! Used to play the Gamecube games quite a bit when I was younger, though it never crossed my mind you could get shinies in either of them. Would love to see more hunts like this in the future. Did some research and there are actually loads of interesting hunts that could be done in these games, tho alot of them I've seen are uncatchable so i don't think it would be absolutely worth it, but still cool nonetheless. ie I saw someone get a shiny mence on the simulation at the beginning of XD, and i seen a few hunts for pokemon on battle sim dvds as well. For catchable ones, I've seen several people hunt duking's traded larvitar for a shiny. I dont think you can shiny hunt any traded pokemon in the main-series games aside from let's go, if i'm correct. Goodluck on DTQ Feebas btw!
