On his solo channel probably the best example of the extent of Geoff's range (both highs and lows) is his cover of the Beatles song Blackbird. And all of the songs from Nightmare Before Christmas performed by VoicePlay are incredible, as are the various Disney movie song covers. And speaking of Disney movie song covers, the recent release of Hellfire (from Hunchback of Notre Dame) by Tomi P might well leave you speechless (as it did me). Like Geoff's solo work, it is also a layered a capella masterpiece with him covering an incredible range.

Thanks for the tips! I'm not into Disney and haven't watched any of their movies in about 35 years so I'm not familiar with the songs. I added Blackbird and Hellfire to the watch-list.

Tim Faust of Home Free and Geoff are friends. Geoff attributes some of his ability to Tim's help in using Vocal Fry techniques to get lower. They met through an A Cappella Talent show on NBC in 2014 I believe. Home Free won the competition. Vocal Play, the group Geoff is a part of when he's not doing solo work, was not as successful but they have evolved quite a bit since then. There are only 3 members remaining as J None, a tenor-baritone just announced his departure to serve in the US Navy. It will be interesting to see how they evolve further. I hope they remain together.

So, you have Geoff and Voiceplay in the repertoire (more to do, as others have suggested Oogie Boogie from the nightmare before Christmas and Blackbird need to be done). You should add some Home Free to the mix. I'd suggest Folsom Prison Blues as a starting song or Man of Constant Sorrow which was made famous most recently in O Brother Where Art Though?

English is a silly language - nothing is spelled the way it sounds and none of the rules are followed ... ;) Geoff is amazing not only for how low he goes, but the fact he can also go so high given his low notes.

ESL speakers are adorable, but I will readily admit that "bass" the fish, "bass" the singing range, and "base" the headquarters, is ridiculous.
