I knew where this was going when they talked about their daughter reading science textbooks. Combined with the "losing her morals" because of foreign students, it is a HUUUUUUUGE red flag.

Wow that 7 year old who refused to do undeserved chores is amazing!! Its also dangerous to teach kids to always listen to adults. What about predators etc? Kids need to be strong minded with a strong sense of right and wrong and standing up for themselves. She refused to do them because she didnt deserve to be punished not because she's disobedient!!

Re: dog I think I'd need more info before I could say if that's an overreaction. While I might not react like OP, I don't think that matters. If you bring a dog to a public space, even if I love them, you shouldn't let them make contact with people. Rather than saying "oh it's alright" if they had just said a simple "ops sorry about that" i don't think there'd be a prob.

First of all, you are STUNNING. The vibes, the hair, the LIPS! Everything is giving today and I am here for it. Secondly, Isabella can you please please pleaseeee make these vids longer or maybe do 2 a week? Because I live for them and you. You have a great head on your shoulders and always give the most sound advice. Of course you have your own beautiful life going on so if you ever have the extra time I know myself and other girlies here would adore more time with you! Okay gonna listen to the episode now lol K, love you, bye!

Just the other day someone was yelling at the gas station employee because their system REQUIRES them to scan your ID to purchase tobacco and alcohol products. They literally cannot change it, yet this entitled old man yelled at her because he "is obviously old enough ". It's not because she thought you were too young dummy, its because it is a requirement!!! Ugh!!!

I understand the dog situation and i would have reacted just the same way. i was born and raised around dogs as my dad used them for work and later in life was attacked by a dog and now i have a crippling fear of them. Its not fair to tell someone “youll be alright” no im sorry you have a responsibility to keep your dogs away from others and be considerate not everyone is a “dog person” Also muslims consider dog saliva as impure and will need to purify themselves afterwards, im not sure about other religious beliefs We should be respectful of others lived experiences and beliefs we dont know what trauma someone has been through not everyone sees it as “such a cute puppy” they can be very dangerous and I’ve experienced it first hand and it was my mums own tamed dog that attacked me by the way!

The dog SNIFFED her hand and she’s offended?!?!?! Bro it’s normal to be startled since she didn’t notice the dog, but to flip out and complain to staff that a dog SNIFFED your hand? The dog didn’t bite you, didn’t jump on you. OP is the asshole for reacting like that. Nothing at all wrong with what the dog owner said!
@kennyw19082 ай бұрын
Both can be wrong. The person with the dog could have just apologized for his dog touching him and OP did overreact. Going to tell staff about a dog sniffing you if overreacting. They most likely aren’t going to do anything because like the man said, they are dog friendly. With the analogy about the child, you are right, many people would not want that. But, that does not disprove the fact that yelling and telling the staff about it would be overreacting.

OP could’ve been allergic - so to assume someone would be ok with coming into physical contact with a random dog is neglectful and presumptuous. Keep your dogs to yourself

Call me a Karen but I don't think retail places like LOWES, Best Buy, Target, *SHOULD* be 'dog friendly' because you don't know if the animal a person could have their dog in the store with them and it's not leash trained, it's aggressive/territorial, has other unmanaged behavioural problems, Is improperly potty trained, etc., except in the case of pet stores like Pet Smart/- Co., Pet Valu(in Canada), etc., I think dogs who are strictly considered 'pets' should not be allowed in other retail environments unless they are a certified guide, service or specialty disability/health conditioned trained animal. It's a sanitation issue to begin with, and it opens the brande.g. Lowes/Rona, Best Buy, Target, Crappy(Canadian Tire, Malls, etc open up to lawsuits if a person is harmed by an on-/improperly trained animal because the environment is 'dog friendly'.

Honestly, story 6 threw me a bit. I was raised to not question authority and punished if I talked back. If asked, I would've said it made me respectful without much impact beyond that. But in my late 20s, a scam caller got me at work by saying certain things in a certain way (and constantly making me call him 'sir' to reinforce his "authority".) I ended up hanging up but not before I'd partially complied with what he wanted, b.c every time I questioned it or was unsure, he barked at me that it wasn't my job to question him. I almost get fired, and I still felt messed up for days about wanting to fight it.

Just bc an establishment is dog / pet friendly doesn’t mean you don’t keep a handle on your pet. Ppl go to DIY stores for home improvement items, not to deal with other people’s pets. What a ludicrous expectation 😂 I know ppl deathly allergic to dogs. Does that mean they can’t run into Lowe’s for something because pet owners wanna treat it like Petco/Pet Smart?
@orion.6Ай бұрын
@@Taewills the owner in the story was next to his dog bro. He didn’t let the dog jump on op the dog was just sniffing the new person as dogs do. How is someone walking with their dog in a dog friendly store treating it like a petco? If someone is so allergic to dogs to where they can’t be around them at all then yea they shouldn’t go to a store where there could be dogs around. Go somewhere else or order online
@TaewillsАй бұрын
@@orion.6 at no point in the story did OP mention the distance between the owner/dog. You’re assuming they were next to the dog. Regardless not every dog walks up to a stranger and sniffs/slobbers on them. Well TRAINED dogs don’t do that. Dogs on a tensed leash also don’t do that. Being in a dog friendly establishment doesn’t mean you’re entitled to let them bug others. It simply means the company won’t ask patrons to leave. Just like kid friendly doesn’t mean allow your kids to approach strangers and smear food/snot on them 🙄

Unless the last person has a severe and undisclosed dog phobia, which they did not display in their description of the event or their reaction to being sniffed (like crying, panic attack, can't breathe, uncontrollable freakout), they are being ridiculous and crotchety and extra. I don't care for small children, but I've never had an outwardly negative reaction when one has unexpectedly approached me, spitty/sticky leg and all. It's not my favorite thing, but I'm not going to yuck someone's yum and be insulting when there's no real harm done. It's different if there's a bite or something but this person is just silly.
