And when I decided to get clean, I moved, I quit hanging out w other addicts that I thght were my friends, quit frequenting the places I used to hang out and changed my phone number. It was lonely as hell. But that's what it took to get myself right.

This is how you do it, by staying debt-free and going your own way. We did this in a very rural part of the Ozarks in the early 90s. We lived out of a VW camper van and built a homestead. The first building was a barn where we parked the van (still living out of it) to have more shelter in the winter. Also, the first chicken coop and goat pens were in the barn, too. We kept it scrupulously clean because there's not much else to do in the winter. There was plenty of fertilizer collected, though. We did without electricity until we found a deal on a wood burning generator. Wood and water fell from the sky, so rain barrels and a wood shed were the next improvements. Each year we just built what we needed and enjoyed a peaceful stress-free life. No debt and minimalistic freedom. Nowadays we own our land, homes, vehicles and recession-proof businesses outright. There is solar power, wind power on one of the wells, and an earth sheltered home. Even the livestock homes are earth sheltered. That means no HVAC systems needed. Just open the south facing window curtains and/or fire up a wood burning stove to take the chill off in the winter. We even grow food indoors now due to climate change. The seasonal crops that will produce outdoors are better managed with lowered beds rather than raised beds.

Props to this guy for living the life that he wants. There are more (far more) of us who dream of doing this type of thing and never get around to it. So, it's nice to kind of live vicariously through others! Problem is, if enough people start doing this they'll pass laws and make it illegal. They WILL get their money one way or the other. Anyway, I'm glad I found this channel as well. I like how you stay objective and non-judgmental. Keep doing what you are doing and your channel will flourish!

Nick is an absolute genius with all of his knowledge living off the grid, mechanical smarts, and getting in a position to live a debt free life by making sacrifices and using his critical thinking, genius mind! And, just when I thought it couldn’t get anymore interesting, we are introduced to Nick’s girlfriend Naomi, who throws in the bait and reeled me in stating she was previously an Amish stripper and new Author of her own memoir! Wow! You two are truly an inspiration and blessed to have been on your journeys and are settled now with a beautiful daughter! Hubs recently retired and needs a new buddy, Nick you in? Lol..and Naomi I myself, have lived an interesting life and thought of writing my memoir. Maybe a few pointers? You guys are the best! Oh, and I rushed on Amazon Naomi and purchased your book! When i think of a life that i want to live, its this, i come from a similar background, was in a terrible controlling relationship, living in the rat race to buy shit that i didnt want, to hang out in places i didnt want to be in, to impress people that i didnt like to live in places that i couldnt afford, i thought living in debt as long as it was lavish, was what it was supposed to be, i shortly found out, after living that californian dream for a year, that i didnt want to live that way anymore, so i got out of my abusive relationship, moved back in with my parents to start from scratch, pay off debt and find a new direction into an old dream, now im shooting at creating an LLC, by any means, making money from any direction to save up as much as possible so i can re-shoot again, and ive been looking at buying a trailer and putting it on a compound to have all kinds of toys and then build a workshop on my compound to expand my business, all paid for in cash, away from corporations, just making money and being debt free, being a true conservative american and fighting the power against these mega fortune 500 companies

Like Im not going to back down, even threatening legal action, arguing with leasing management, calling the president or owner of the places, the whole debacle and struggle, and see how much effort it would take to bring down the rent at these places. Your videos motivate me.😂
