Hey guys amazing video! I recently purchased a 23 scrambler 1000s. Absolutely amazing. However just to be sure I’am I getting the best results out of the shocks, how would you recommend I adjust from the factory settings ? The payload for the ATV is 290 and I would say with my weight (230) plus accessories including gear, I’m currently sitting at around 270. Would love to hear your thoughts

I have a 2021 Can Am Maverick X3 RS Turbo RR that I want to adjust for rocky trails to hard pack dirt. What should my adjustments be? Also what psi should I run my tires at.

I found this video trying to understand why my 08 grand Cherokee blows through its front strut travel on whoops and some drop offs on trails. I love the technical aspect and have subscribed! I have 1 year old bilsteins with the original springs. I’m thinking of fabricating mounts to run adjustable Rancho shocks parallel to the front struts. At what point should spring rate be increased?
@ShockTherapyllc2 жыл бұрын
Welcome. A good rule of thumb is once you exceed 2” of pre load on the spring you need more spring rate. Good luck!

I know it’s old but I’d be interested in some info about a xp 900 suspension. I’m not ready to buy a new ride yet. I don’t think I even have rebound on my shocks but I was told that someone valved it.

Hey guys! I apologize if this question has already been asked in a previous stream, but I'm looking to get into a 4 seater UTV coming up here soon. Would you recommend the X3 Maxx with Smartshox, Polaris Turbo S, Polaris Pro XP, or should I wait for what Polaris is rumored to come out with in January? I'm out of Vegas so most of my riding will be in desert or dunes. I plan to keep the car for at least 3-4 years and doing a pretty good amount of modifications to whichever one I get, most importantly the full RIS Gold package from you guys. Do you think the new Polaris release will be worth the wait VS potentially having a fully worked X3/Turbo S/Pro XP by time I could get my hands on the new release? Thanks!
@ShockTherapyllc3 жыл бұрын
For high speed desert I would go Max or XP pro. You need to sit in them and decide according to what fits you well. Performance wise they are going to be great. I can't wait to see the Pro R hopefully in January. I would wait if you can. I am.

question on RS1 with your spring upgrade for trail riding if it was your money would the next step upgrade be do your internal upgrade or spend extra money and go to the fox RC2 shocks?
@ShockTherapyllc3 жыл бұрын
If you drive slower, relaxed and chill then do the internal work. If your aggressive then go RC 2. If you drive hard and or jump the factory 2” walkers are not enough. 👍

Hey fellas, love the posts. I have a 2020 YXZ XT-R with the Fox RC2 shocks. I ride mainly moderate to rough trails (Hatfield & McCoy). What should I start my HS/LS compression and Rebound at? Also with rebound, the more rebound the slower the kick back is? Any and all info is appreciated
@ShockTherapyllc3 жыл бұрын
I will get that info for you tomorrow. On the rebound, yes you are correct. More rebound, slower extension.

What is the adjuster doing on the Walker Shocks that come on the General XP? Compression or rebound?

compression

My 2 seater hates the whoops, is it because of the short wheel base? Or do I need to adjust? 2 seater rzr 900 with shock therapy gold
@ShockTherapyllc3 жыл бұрын
Short wheel base is worse in the whoops but more than likely you just need to adjust it. Our kit on a 900 runs pretty good in the whoops.

Took my ‘21 x3 Max Smartshox to get calibrated. (Suspensión fault) I’m doubting they know what they are doing. Guy tells me they have to remove each shock and calibrate them with a “special tool”. Should I be worried?
@ShockTherapyllc3 жыл бұрын
This is true if the shocks were un plugged improperly at some point.

Hi, I’m from Brazil, and we would love to be a client of Shock Therapy. In this video you talked about standard suspension. In my Pro Xp I just have 3 setups ( comfort, sport and firm). How can I use it from slow to high speed in the terrain smooth to rough? Tks!!!
@ShockTherapyllc3 жыл бұрын
Hello from Brazil. It’s easy. The stiffer you run your system the slower the compression will be. Soft, medium and hard are the same as stiffening a compression adjuster without the hassle of getting out of the car.

When should I adjust the crossover rings?
@ShockTherapyllc3 жыл бұрын
Only once your tire pressure is set and compression adjustments don’t prevent you from bottoming out. Lower the X over 1/2” at a time and re adjust compression. You have gone too far with X over once the UTV starts to pic up a rear buck that can’t be stopped with a few clicks of rebound.

Starting adjustment recommendations for an x3 max xrs rr, non smart shox for trail riding, mostly east coast?
@ShockTherapyllc3 жыл бұрын
Trails should be on the soft side. All the way soft on high speed. Two turns on low speed. Front rebound 6 clicks. Rear rebound 8 clicks. Put more high speed in if you can bottom it out too much.

How does temperature affect shock settings?
@ShockTherapyllc3 жыл бұрын
Typically colder temps make the shocks act stiffer. Warmer temps and they act softer. If the shock itself overheats grime use it will act soft then it will become super stuff in the small chop while still bottoming out in the big hits.
