Very much enjoyed the video. I like that you point out some of the small details of the shoes in your reviews. Details that might be missed by the average shoe guy. This helps us to learn more about shoes. It is the details that separate the good shoes from the really good shoes. Keep them coming. I just recently purchased a shoe from the company Aubercy. They are a small French company and the shoe is really high end. I can see from your shoe videos that you don't own a pair but I would like to hear your take on Aubercy.

I haven’t had an aubercy yet. I’ve been steadily moving up market but those are probably on my outlook in 2922 or late 2021. 2 kids in college through 2025 so might even be delayed. That said I find their designs to be quite nice. My challenge is that I’ve been sticking to traditional styles, and outside the Wholecut is the their styles are more on the edge. Not a bad thing, they certainly have styles that excite me, and I haven’t looked that closely either. My knowledge on them really comes from Hugo Jacomet on “The Parisian Gentleman” and Justin Fitzpatrick on “The Shoe Snob Blog”. Both rate them very very well. I’m interesting in knowing your perspective. What pair do you own? Thanks for your encouraging comments.

As a general rule I to stick to traditional shoe brands such as the ones that you review on your channel. In fact I would never have looked at the split toe shoes if it wasn't for your videos. I know you are a big fan of the style and watching your reviews has made me take a second look at them. I think a pair will be in the near future. As for the Aubercy I got lucky, I was able to find a pair of really nice shoes on the second hand market. They look like they were only worn a few times. Aubercy are just a little outside of my price range right at this time to buy brand new. Watching yours and other shoe videos from KZbin (MD shoedoc, The Elegant Oxford and Trenton and Heath etc.) I was able to make the shoes look like brand new. I was just curious if you knew anything about the brand. Very little information and almost no reviews of them on KZbin. I don't even know the name of the shoe that I have. I can only find one picture of them on the internet and it was in a blog from the Shoe Snob back in 2013. It only shows a picture of the shoes and the name Aubercy. (I thought Google knew everything) I was thinking about contacting Justin Fitzpatrick and seeing if he could shed some light on the shoes or contacting the company. The pair of shoes that I have are wholecut Derby (sort of). Never seen a shoe that looks like these before. Probably the softest leather I have found on any pair of shoe. Very happy with them. They are the pinnacle of my collection. So far.
