The point that you mentioned about being carful handling a gun and people being around is really really really important. My father was holding his AK while he was sitting and my aunt was across the room in-front of him when he fired accidentally thinking that there was nothing after he removed the mag thankfully the bullet broke the window above my aunt’s head and nothing happened to her He sold his ak and never bought a weapon again and that was like 27 years ago

You made me respect the .22LR a lot more! So many people downgrade the .22 because of stopping power but like you said. You practice enough and you can hit a target multiple times in a crucial spot like the head your good as dead. I will be copping a .22 soon
@joeymcquilkin36702 жыл бұрын
No f*ckin doubt bro! A well equipped .22 is no joke.. you an have a big bad .40-.45 cal or AR etc… but if you can’t put lead on target then you ain’t got shit but a firecracker I train pretty regularly with my AR-style .22 which is setup for HomeDefense and yea as long as the rounds feed correctly I’m have that whole banana empty within a quarter size hole before you can blink
@---yx7ti2 жыл бұрын
@@joeymcquilkin3670 ok but after u can actually hit something within 20 feet consistently it's wise to not use a .22 for home defense ...if you can afford something more effective
@Itsreallymarcus2 жыл бұрын
@@joeymcquilkin3670 .22 is a awful choice for home defense, only upside is the noise, but the penetration, the inaccuracies, failures to feed out of an AR platform is constant.. not a good choice for Home defense but good to train with for basic fundamentals for sure.
@lyingeyes55792 жыл бұрын
@@Itsreallymarcus 100%, was just about to mention this. The guy who says .22 has poor stopping power is true. I don't go below .9mm parabellum.
@Itsreallymarcus2 жыл бұрын
@@joeymcquilkin3670 also if you believe you can empty a full magazine, with no malfunctions at a very high rate of fire within a quarter size I’m all eyes. For the people who have never been in a life threatening situation, like yourself as I can tell with your comment, guarantee you either freeze up, or hesitate to pull the trigger. If you do manage to pull the trigger your shots will be so misplaced you’ll find lead in your neighbors house from the penetration through the dry wall from all your misses. Under extreme stress, adrenaline rushing, the nerves if you’ve never pulled a trigger on someone…100000% promise you that your make believe quarter shot group will turn out to be 3 walls and your roof covered in bullet holes. I get you watch all these movies and think you’d be Rambo but I assure you, it’s not happening bud. Especially with a .22.
