I also strongly suspect that if anyone were to show up unannounced w/ malicious intent that Ray and Wife Unit could easily take care of the problem.

They’re 15-20$ by Klein or various other companies and tel you if a wire is live for sure or not rather then just winging it like these guys did. And you don’t need the copper exposed you just hold it to the outside of a wire sheath.

An old Electrician once told me if you push wires to the side to never use your palm side of hand. If for some reason it is live your hand might clamp down on the wire. He seen it done and the guy couldn't let go. They make a pocket tester that I always carry to check for live wires. You can even use it to check for live wires behind sheet rock.

Yessss. `And the wall came tumblin' down'. Very soon you will have a 3 hoist shop, with easy ergonomic access. This is excellent stuff and yes, demolition is a rough go, but the end will justify the means. Don't forget to paint the floor !
