I bet it would. I made a salad with tomato, cucumbers, onion, garlic, and basil this morning. We will have to try it your way one of these days.

that looks very tasty.....and this type of food is what is so good this time of year, because the ingredients are just hanging around out in the garden.......i have been making something similar pretty much all summer........i keep a bag of grilled sirloin steak strips on hand , and then at lunchtime i take a trip through the garden and fill my basket with whatever is most plentiful. today it was cow-horn peppers ,green and red bell peppers , jalepeno peppers , green and red tomatoes, and onion.....i just warm the steak strips up in a little butter , and put the chopped garden-goodies on top , with half a lime.and of course garlic...........great video sasha......i am hungry again......my mouth is watering.................happy late labor day.

Sounds absolutely delicious. Have you ever added an acid such as a citrus or vinegar? If so what would be best? Also which is closer to Bulgaria feta cheese cow, sheep or goat? Was bread part of your upbringing? I love learning of history and different cultures mealtime traditions. An example in states eating a large breakfast has been so pushed upon us compared to some countries have only 2 meals a day and breakfast is very light such a tea and toast. Thank you again and disregard if questions to personal.

Hello Debbie! I personally don’t like vinegar or lemon on this salad. I do like tomatoes with balsamic vinegar and basil, so you could try this. We do eat big breakfasts in Bulgaria and yes, we do eat a lot of bread 😁 I personally eat breakfast at noonish and skip lunch. And I quit eating bread a couple of years when I was trying to loose weight and never got back to eating it. And no, your questions are not too personal 😊 I’ll be back in Arizona this weekend and will try to make a coherent video from all the clips I filmed here in Bulgaria. I’ll be posting my travel videos from Bulgaria on my Sasha DeKasha channel. Thank you so much for watching! Best, Sasha

OK Sasha thanks for your info on the yogurt front... will certainly look into this.. From what my housekeeper has gathered Bulgarian yogurt is virtually the same as the true Greek yogurt in every way ... i know a lot of supermarkets have started selling so called Greek and Bulgarian yogurt which is not the true real yogurt but now with your help i shall be having my Greek/ Bulgarian salad / yogurt Shopska breakfast "Yeah man" all the best Sasha..........Ed

Not exactly . Greeks make it a little different . Also the meaning behind the salad plays part and why it was created.
