Have you ever used JMRI (Java model railroad interface) to control trains/turnouts? It's a computer program that can be used with almost all DCC systems. I use it and I love it!

Thanks for the great introduction and demo. Perhaps you can clarify one question for me: To be able to use the PC networking features over LAN (TrainController, RocRail, JMRI, etc.), do you have to purchase any additional software license for the z21 (lowercase "z") itself, or does this connectivity work out of the box? I ask this only because I have read the "starter" edition of this system does impose limits on what data is communicated over LAN (see: www.roco.cc/en/product/238834-z21-0-0-0-0-0-004006/products.html) and will not work with s/w such as RocRail. Thanks again.

Nice! I have really tried to find out if US train would run on European tracks and still work DCC. What about sound decoding for US train? The track is code 83? What brand is the US train? I am trying to decide to go for Märklin or Roco, but I would like to run US trains also like you, so which would you go for Märklin or Roco? Sorry for all the questions, but finally somebody seems to know.

At first your videos great.My question is how many functions control z21 white only for one loco?Because my layout very small and I would like use only one steam loco from Roco. Or am I buy NCE power cab for simple design?

z21 white controls 28 function of modern DCC decoder. We are carrying NCE as well. I just got 21start it is almost the same as z21 white.

***** , долго копил , ну не на последние средства разумеется, но под шумок Нового Года и подарка ребёнку думаю взять ROCO 41496, но пока только ведутся переговоры с женой дедушками и бабушками, суму я им ни за что не озвучу, по тому-что это будет заведомый провал. Да и ситуация в стране (((. Ну да ладно прорвёмся. Большую часть финансовых затрат беру на себя, но от их помощи не откажусь, все равно все ребёнку будут покупать игрушки, хоть пару сотен гривен это тоже не пустое место. Хочется взять что-то из последнего что б через год не выпало на обочину прогресса, хотя с нынешними темпами развития ... Вон уже установки холодного ядерного синтеза Росси, практически готовы на конвейер поставить. Спасибо за ссылку.
