I really like your content. You have a unique channel and it’s been helpful for me especially in my interest in DAWless recording. I think I found it simply by searching up videos on the 424. I started putting up videos on 2020 during the start of the pandemic and it’s been fun. There’s something gratifying about creating something and posting it

Heck yeah man! It's been such a great companion to my creative life. The people I've met through the internet the last few years have been amazing. And although I'm still learning how to speak like a human being in front of the camera, I'm super stoked to have so much of the last few years documented! P.S. 🦕
@424Recording3 жыл бұрын
I feel the same way, Jason. I originally pictured the channel being the final music project I'd do, just a brain dump of what I'd learned over the years and hoping that someone would find useful information or that it would save them some time. And then working on the vids revitalized my creativity and outlook and now it's an important part of what I do and think about. The best part is all the friends and community, too. And yeah! The documentation is really cool. It's awesome to have the past few years documented and to look back on it and think about where I was at and where I'm heading. It's all good stuff. And to think, we probably never would have met otherwise!

I have to drop a comment. Been following you for the last weeks and got really inspired to dust off my Fostex XR7. I learned from you how to properly bounce tracks on this device and also how to use tracks 5-6. HA! Sometimes I think I should also make some videos but I rather spend my little free time making music. I'm on the process of recording some songs, if I ever get to compile them and call it an album, I'll come by and drop the word. Is there any forum, community, or other relevant channels about this topic I should be following? Can you please advise? Thank you for your time in doing this Mike, you've helped someone across the world.

Hey Mike, your channel and videos are really cool! I stumbled upon your stuff while looking up how to use a 424, your tutorial was thorough and the song you recorded was really good! I was wondering if you copyright your songs before you post them on youtube? I just started my channel but haven't uploaded much because of that and other reasons. Thanks and keep it up! 🦖
@424Recording3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Clay, I've done it both ways. The cool thing is, if you want, you can put them up on streaming and then have whatever service scan KZbin for your songs so you get monetized if someone uses your song (or if you use it). Tbh, I've never made much money from any of my music so I don't worry too much about it. But I also make more niche music. There's also so much stuff out there; the fact that people find my music is a miracle in itself haha. I hope it helps

Hi Mike,... have you thought of making another channel about different things? for example: books, snow blower repair, home maintance, ect. or perhaps a random channel about anything?
@424Recording3 жыл бұрын
I have actually, bun! Are you thinking about starting one? Random channels are tough because one topic one person might be interested in could be completely different than what someone else is interested in. I guess the unifying element is the person making the videos. I guess that would kind of be like a vlog channel, too
@676bun3 жыл бұрын
@@424Recording You seem like you could make a channel about anything and it would be interesting. I do think about another channel, and it would probably end up random stuff or a channel of all the music I've recorded.. I've got tons of recordings I've never put out anywhere.
@424Recording3 жыл бұрын
Ha! Thanks, bun. I appreciate you saying that. That could be cool for a second channel. I think a philosophical channel or something along those lines would be cool for me, or a retro video game channel haha
