Not for live performances with guitar looping, and that's sad. Electron can easily make great live looper from digitakt by software update. Add start stop recording from midi input and digitakt will be best looper.

Hi Mike, you seem to know your shit. Here's a doozy for ya, something that in my opinion should be a no brainer and every mixer capable of doing, but noooo not on this darn thing. I want to master my compositions from Ableton live to my Akai GX-4000D tape deck in DAW mode. But no matter what routing or configuration I attempt, NO SIGNAL comes out of the sub outs. None, zero, ziltch. What the heck is the sub out even for if I can't get a signal out of it? What am I doing wrong? This should be a very simple thing on a mixing board. There should be a sub output engage button that sends sub out signals to whatever we have it plugged into, or is this just too much to ask? lol Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for this - very helpful. The M12 headphone arrangement is mind-blowingly stupid. I come from 424 mkiii world, where things made sense and life was easy. M12 world seems tediously complex and life is vexatious.

Just got an almost perfect looking, barely used looking mkiii with one problem...the Monitor Level knob doesn't appear to do anything. Does not lower or boost level. So either I am setting it up wrong or that knob has blown a capacitor...or something...I dunno anything about circuits etc. However, it doesn't seem to be a negative since the Effect 2/ Tape Cue knobs on each channel can control your levels as you are overdubbing etc.

I have tried difference way to record video and my songs with Tascam effects through USB with my android Smart phone like I do with my audio interface , however it does't work, it mean I can't record anything over USB with OTG adapter to my phone. I even can't find any instruction in manual book. I just want to sing and with my guitar , my video come directly from the tascam.

My second track is currently super weird. Can hear it through the line input but when it comes to tape it sounds just fucked. Super bummed

That's a bit of bad luck having that as your first encounter with a DOD pedal. The original 55s and 55B were good. The C is crap.

my goal with a model 12 is to get rid of my scarlet 2i2 and have all of my main instruments plugged in at al times into ableton.

Tech 21 makes other great pedals too. Check out the Sansamp Bass Driver DI, the Sansamp GT2, the Tech 21 Q-Strip Parametric EQ, and they have tons of other cool pedals too.

Great tutorial. I've had a 424 sitting in my closet for years and am ready to start using it. I love the song and the "cheap guitar" sound. I have a plethora of great old inexpensive guitars.

I bought one of these in about 2001 brand new. Had it until about 2022. Kept it in mint condition. Glorious. Then, like an idiot, I sold it. Redeemed myself by buying a 464. Which is objectively a better machine. But selling the 414 mkii was a dumb play.

This pedal is great. I love all the old Rocktek stuff. I used to use them with my old 72 Gibson SG when I was a teen in the early 90s.

I know a guy with the biggest ego and he can't last in any band. He's ok to hang out with but when it comes to playing with the band and playing the songs that we all want to play, he either calls out or when he does show up he doesn't know half the songs we're doing and he ends up making our practice time shorter than it should be. Then when I said to him that he needs to just learn all the songs that we're doing he said that we were insulting his guitar playing, which no one ever said. Total delusional loser. Then when he goes with another band he hypes it up like he's going on tour with freaking journey or somebody and it's only a local "Play that same song the other band did" cover band. So humorously sad.

When I first started making music in my teens I used an Amstrad Studio 100, don't judge me :-) At the time it was all I could afford, I have lots of tapes from that period I would love to bounce like in the video and then newly mix in Logic Pro X. But the problem is that the studio 100 only has 2 outputs so I cannot transfer all 4 tracks at the same time, I have in the past done 2 transfers and tried to line up but was met with the issues you talk about in this video. I have been told that my cassettes that I recorded in the Amstrad would work in a tascam 4 track machine, so I have been thinking of buying a tascam just for this task, do you have any advice or will the tascam even play my Amstrad recorded tapes fit for transfer. Or maybe there is a way to hot-wire the Amstrad so that it could bounce all 4 tracks at the same time??? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hey this might be a dumb question but i am wondering if when you bounce a stereo mix to daw. Should the two armed tracks be panned left and right in the daw considering you have 2 guitars (left and right hard panned). Or if they are panned on 4track do you just set them in the middle on the daw.
