Men are half the conception. They should definitely have a say- but not just a say- a responsibility. In my experience, initial response of most men is, “Yikes! I’m outta here! Do what you want, babe, but leave me outta the equation.” That’s a very selfish “caught like a naughty little boy” response. More often than not, they come back after the baby is born to seek a more manly and adult level of responsibility. The little boy I had at age 17 is almost retirement age, a father of four; a fireman, EMT, contractor/builder, artist, and leader in his church and community. ALL of that was in my womb… Abortion is not an option. But LIFE offers so many open doors. Thank you for the work you are doing!

Gosh, this made my heart sink. I’m so grateful I’m with my high school sweetheart who now my fiancé and he and I agreed we’d keep a baby if I became pregnant. Our son just turned 3 and now we’re having baby number 2, a baby girl! If men don’t want their babies aborted then they need to understand the process of making a baby, the woman’s cycle, wear protection and be well informed on the entire reproductive system. Nothing is or should be their choice when it comes to anyone else’s body so it’s in their best interest to protect themselves and their child to be smart, use protection, and have sex wisely and not frivolously. Accidental pregnancy will always happen as long as casual sex is socially acceptable. Contraception & understanding biology prevents the majority of pregnancies but it will never prevent all. And in the real world people let their hormones and desires rule. It’s a nice idea that everyone could always be careful & responsible but let’s be real… Women suffer the brunt of the consequences of this current system. Women deserve better than abortion. Women deserve better than men who just want the pleasure but none of the responsibilities of the consequences of sex. By making the woman think that she is the one with autonomy and power to rule over her baby's own death while putting herself at risk! The perfect crime? Men have to have a hand in the pro life movement, they actually may be the key to solving the issue. My father would say for years that "men are wimps." After all these years I finally understand. He is right! Men are wimps for not stepping up to fight for the right of live for their offspring. And we (men) need to step up!

Most importantly, you’re not on the line for anything until the baby is born. You can leave the mother and make her go to her baby appointments alone and have the baby alone.
