Pokemon Mystery Dungeon EOS isn't just a great game, it's almost an experience playing it for the first time. Getting attached to your Guild members and your partners, the great storytelling with fantastic lore, and experiencing the heartbreaking ending after battling Dialgia and hearing one of the best final boss fight themes of all time really make this game something special. I loved every moment of it, so I really hope a remake of this game has the same amount of love and care poured into it (which I'm sure it will)

Taking into account that Spike-Chunsoft insists on making the same mistakes they did with Gates to Infinity over and over and over again, they'd be screwing the Poochyena if they ever remade Explorers of Sky.

If EoS gets remade, the is ONE thing that I want to see changed. When entering a dungeon in the dojo, heading off to (shudder) Zero Island, or anyway that you need your bag to be empty; the game either should automatically place all your stuff in the storage or, even better, temporarily remove everything from the bag and give it back along with the goodies you've collected when you exit the dungeon.

Rescue Team DX already made this fix. Purity Forest allows no items in it, and acts much like Zero Island South. Red/Blue Rescue Team just vaporized your items, but DX just drops them all into storage and puts all your money into the bank upon entry. They would also likely change the Marowak dojo to act like how they changed the Makuhita dojo, which is a change I welcome wholeheartedly considering how useless it felt before the change.

NintendoBlackCrisis makes sense. Though I personally found some of the recent games in the main series challenging. Though, that’s probably because I held myself back on grinding. ORAS gave me a very memorable champion fight where we were both down to our last Pokémon, his could definitely one shot mine, while mine could maybe take out the rest his his’s HP. I won but that moment felt like a Wild West gun draw. Sun and Moon was challenging but got easier in the later parts. USUM was the most challenging main series Pokémon game I’ve ever played. And I actually almost lost the fight against Champion Leon in SwSh. Like I said, You can give yourself a good challenge if you refrain from excessive grinding.

The dungeon series is sooo good they just need to find a way to revitalise dungeons. The idea of playing as a pokemon is so much better in some ways to me The Whole point of mystery dungeon is to explore and enjoy that so they should make it better in as many ways as they can, making an auto explore mode is basically defeating the purpose of your game

I personally use auto mode when grinding friend rescues in sky tower but play manually for the actual game, also its nice in the dojo to get a lot of xp

I used auto mode on the final stretch to the Grandmaster rank. After I make my Pokemon so strong, I feel like I deserve to think a little less. Actually, I might add auto mode is actively a bad idea in the level reset dungeons.

Explorers of sky/time/darkness had an amazing story, the music and ending actually had me tear up abit as a kid. Plus the extra pokedex generations which had alot of my favorites

I actually think being able to see Pokémon and items until Sky Tower was a good decision. It eases entry for newer players and doesn't really change gameplay for veterans because up until Sky Tower the game is incredibly easy. They remove it in every dungeon in the post-game (which is the majority of the game), allowing players to learn the benefits of having x-ray specs.

That was more or less the purpose to allow newcomers who have never even touched mystery dungeon to not be daunted by having to look blindly like the original and understand that the reason to do so is to find stuff so it’s more understanding to how it works along with post game dungeons taking it away to take what you have learned and challenge yourself.

The most frustrating change for me is hitting A automatically uses a move. I liked using it to burn a turn to let enemies approach and not waste moves when i didn't want to. Now i am forced to throw the ranged move i was saving for other enemies.

I don't like the A button thing either, but also because it's on top of the fact that there's no basic attack. Though I'll add that pressing R and A will advance a turn like pressing A and B in the originals

I'd like to see it get remade, as long as they change having to repeatedly sit through Spinda's "Drink Shaking" animation to get Gummi drinks, it slowed the game down so much, and getting max IQ on your team members took forever anyway. If the IQ system has been revamped, that should not be a problem.

Oh man, Explorers of Sky is considered the best in the series, and for good reason. The music is amazing, the story is way better than in Red/Blue and it's just overall better in every way (this isn't to diss Rescue Team, I love that game too)

If a remake of Explorers was made I hope it's handled the same way the original was. It took the flaws of the previous game(s) (Rescue Team) and fixed them, while still adding it's own unique content. The reason they changed the friend areas in Rescue Team remakes is the same (or a similar) reason that they changed it in Explorers. Personally, if Explorers does get a remake, that thing I hope that they change is the limited item storage, honestly, I never got why they did that.

Perhaps the remake could add a line to Dialga's monologue in the pre-epilogue cutscene that foreshadows the second story. Something like "Your journey is not yet finished." Easy to miss, but still instills a seed in your mind, like how Dusknoir knows so much about the Planet's Paralysis when he's hunting Grovyle.

I think another point in consideration of a remake is accessability Links awakening is another great example for this because not only don't many people still have the original gameboy, but also how many of those can actually find and buy the game anywhere? and I think that would be another reason for a remake of explorers. Because yes, many people still have their 3ds or maybe even original ds somewhere in a drawer, but the original game only had the one original production (as far as I know) and the games go for quite a high price if you try and buy them anywhere, let alone know they exist, because Explorers of sky is 11 years old, the amount of people who've gotten into the franchise since then is unimaginable and how many of those even knew Mystery Dungeon as a franchise existed until the DX announcement? And then went out to find this one specific game of that franchise if they were interested in playing any A remake, besides all the other points, would put that game on the radar of a lot more people, especially ones who got into the franchise through DX, and would also allow those people to easily buy and play it

I think another thing about remakes and what warrants a remake is accessibility. I just did an eBay check for explorers of sky, to get a game card for the DS is upwards of $300 (AUD but still). A remake would cost a mere (again AUD) $70-80, and it would be available in stores as well as the e-shop too, which allows so many more players access to what is arguably the best Pokémon game

if I had to ask for one thing from an EoS remake it would be the inclusion of a certain Primal Reversion as part of the story, imagine how cool it would be it upon first seeing Primal Dialga he was in a proper Primal Reversion form rather than just having orange lines instead of the usual blue (it would be even better if Game Freak waited until after that game had revealed the new Primal Dialga before revealing Diamond and Pearl remakes with both Primal Dialga and Primal Palkia) having a brand new Mega Dusknoir for the boss fight against him would also be amazing beyond belief (I'd also love it if they gave Darkrai either a mega or a Primal Reversion for his role as final boss)

The music in RTDX is such a massive upgrade over the music in the original two games that I think a remake would be warranted almost for that alone, _if_ it's done in a similar vein. Hearing the Sky Tower remix totally blew me away.

i would say that they should make a new pmd game. like with all the starters. and a storyline that has references to other games sort of how the previous games had references to the past games. there should be some new features. idk maybe if we start some sort of petition to make the game the same difficulty level as explores of sky and red and blue rescue team. maybe the “monster house” can get smthn added to it? or idk cuz the monster house terrified me when i was in like 3rd grade. maybe for the pokémon icon things there should be a feature where you can change your icon to have some sort of design on it but still your pokemon you’re playing as on it still. idk but i really wanna play AN AMAZING STORY, LIKE SMTHN THAT WILL MAKE ME CRY.

I know I'm really late but the only thing I would want to be fixed is that you should be able to change leader mid dungeon(at least post game I think Explorers is the only one where you can't do that) , the fact that you can spoil yourself on the post game music by using the sky box sense some music is unlocked before you hear it in the story, that you have to empty your inventory manually unless you want to lose your items when entering certain dungeon and the dojo and lastly give us unlimited storage so I don't have to sell TMs because I ran out of space

I'm not sure it needs a remake. I would love a sequel of some kind though! Another story set in the guild featuring two new main characters. Perhaps some of the characters are changed up, etc. Also, like, the first thing the game would do is ask if you played Explorers and then ask what the names of the characters were and what Pokemon you played as. Maybe there could be an after-game development where you meet the characters you played as all those years ago. They're fully evolved and badass!

The only two ways I can think of improving eos is by editing aegis cave (a pain in the ass dungeon), adding online play, maybe a vs agains't other players or a risk-free trading system like the one in the original game, and giving the player to manually control your other party members like the fan made remaster made with sky temple did, other than that, the game is flawless in my opinion

There are some things I'd want them to not change if they did remake EoS, like the recruiting. I like that you can only have 4 mons and if you recruit someone, you can just send them to the guild or swap them with one of your members. Also the IQ system was fine in EoS thanks the Spinda Cafe so I would hope they brought it back. It would also be nice to have the standard attack again (just please not the nerfed version) so I don't have to horde like 8 ethers and elixirs for a postgame dungeon

Even tho red and blue were where it all started for me with pokemon the explorers of time/darkness/sky ones were GOAT. I sobbed at red/blue but that was just at the end. With time/darkness/sky yoooo there were so many sad moments. With an extra one in sky. Like you said music was epic, art was beautiful, and I enjoyed how long it takes to actually clear the game. Gosh the story was so good I've gone back an replayed it so many times

One thing I would be worried about for a sky remake is the music, the soundtrack for sky was absolutely phenomenal, perfect even in my eyes, blue rescue team had some great ones too (such as Ninetales theme and "Fugitives") and I wasn't particularly happy with the music in the remake so... I don't know, hopefully they do something where they remake the song but you can hear the old version such as the weather trio's theme in ORAS... idk man it's worrying

I would love a sequel more than a remake, with more special episodes and so we can see what happened after the game and the returning of the older characters as well as an explanation of what happened to Darkrai. A port would be better for the OG because in exchange for better graphics we would lose the risk of this game being ruined for the long time fans, although it would be nice if they could remix a few tracks.

Imagine Sky Stairway knowing you won’t have to go through all 50 floors multiple times in hopes of getting a Rayquaza. I recently played EoS and had to clear that place 4 times before he joined me. It was miserable.

I love PMD:DX but man, I long for a remake of the Time/Darkness/Sky series, they were my favorite games as a kid and I would love it remade for the switch.

Some things that could be changed a bit: Keep IQ but improve IQ Groups. Multi open for Xatu box shop Multi dink for Spinda’s cafe Allow the Link shop to relearn Egg moves Automatically deposit items for no item dungeons and dojo’s Update the dojo so it can be used to unlock Tutor moves and find tms for your pokemon (ive essentially ignored it the entire time in the main story, since theres not much if a reason to level up outside of dungeons). Add other mini games aside from Sentry duty Add more special episodes Fix sleeping animations + let us keep the scarves

Short answer: Yes. I will explain why the Explorers games should get a remake. First off, Rescue Team DX was a combined remake of both Red and Blue Rescue Team, so an Explorers remake would be a combined remake of all 3 Explorers games, and this would benefit it by having the content from Sky be available in the game, like the Sky exclusive dungeon where you get Shaymin to join your Exploration team, the Spinda’s Cafe subplot and the Special Episodes. Another thing I think should be in the remake is making it so that Meowth and Munchlax are available as starter Pokemon for the Player just like in Time and Darkness, where in Sky the two were Partner exclusive Starter Pokemon, but really all Starter Pokemon from Sky would be available as a Starter for the Player and Partner. Next up involving the Starters, obviously the Movesets are going to be have to be updated for Gen 9, or if these games come out on the Switch 2 which will very likely be when Gen 10 gets revealed, updated for Gen 10 and Sky also made it so that some Starters have an Egg Move, yet only 6 of the Starters available have an Egg Move. So what about giving the other 15 Starters an Egg Move? And it wasn’t until Gates to Infinity that Pokemon with 2 Abilities could have one or the other but not both, as this is a big problem with the Starter Pokemon Skitty, who in the Explorers games, has both Abilities of Cute Charm and Normalize, and the latter Ability is a problem because Skitty’s Egg Move in Sky is Zen Headbutt, a physical Psychic Type move that is great for coverage against Fighting Types, but because of Normalize, all offensive non-Normal type moves that Skitty and its evolved form Delcatty know become Normal type moves, which while Skitty and Delcatty do get STAB when using offensive Normal type moves, no type is weak to Normal with Rock and Steel resisting Normal, Ghost being immune to Normal and yes, Ghost type Pokemon took damage from Normal in the Explorers games, and the other types taking normal damage from Normal type. But Explorers of Sky was my childhood and the first Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game I ever played though I never beat it, so a combined remake of all 3 Explorers games would be awesome.

I’ve replayed explorers of sky soo many times now. It just never gets old. Definitely my favourite game in the whole series with Pokemon Blue Rescue team coming in at a close second

Yessss!! Please please please I want fogbound lake in the switch art style. These games were a big part of my childhood I know its alot to ask but I believe in pokemon and its subsidiaries

My favorite pokemon game of all time is explorers of sky and I would love to see a remake of it. I played it over 5 times and would not hesitate to play a remade version in that beautiful art style. I already got rescue team DX and enjoyed it , so I hope one day it will come true . Also.. I do indeed miss the IQ system because it just felt like each Pokémon could have a ability unique to themself, like the intimidation iq that sometimes makes the enemy being cringe unable to attack that turn, and stepping back when missing an attack was cool too. And how big giant legendary Pokémon was able to breaking walls lmao. It adds cool play style that I like seeing in the Pokémon, depending on what Pokémon they are. I wonder what will happen to gummies and Spinda’s cafe if it does get a remake. And yes.. In the new games. Though I miss IQ skills, the new features makes the iq much more simpler and still provides benefits for the team, but in my Opinion I guess I still prefer the old IQ. Yes steamroll and Brawl is very broken. What I loved the most though in the new game is that ur teammates kinda notice traps now and don’t just walk into it when u step forward. Love how they avoid it. (Like common sensee xD) it was annoying especially in explosion traps in the old game. That and they’re a lot Smarter using their moves in new games. Also another change I noticed was regular attack being gone. still thinking about that new change. (It was such a pp saver move though haha) And.. Okay enough of this blabbering I’m still looking really forward to the remake 😊

i know this is months ago but i kinda feel like we wont get a remake yet , if we can get another game in the series then maybe next time we can see one , and that brings me to the other question.. how would regional forms work..? since they don't mention which region the game takes (but mentions taking a place inhabited only by pokemon) it might be hard to know how they would interpret it.. , unless they make multiple towns that you can visit in the game , and the characters would mention them coming there
