Rugby has fewer injuries and concussions than football. You can tell by the roster sizes. If rugby had a lot of injuries and concussions they would have big roster sizes just like football. In football they need to change the tackling and rules because in rugby players can’t tackle near the head and I’ve heard that rugby players aren’t allowed to tackle above the armpits. The A7FL has rules that prohibits players from tackling near the head and they have a different tackling style that players have to follow. Players should wear lighter pads just to protect themselves from the hit they receive

Get rid of helmets and shoulder pads. Players will play a lot smarter and careful.

I agree because I feel like the helmets and pads encourage players to hit hard. Without the helmets and pads players would be more careful on the way they tackle and hit other players

I think you have to be careful when comparing to rugby. Rugby is much more stamina based than American football and therefore on average each hit isn't as big because you only have 8 substitutes that mostly can only swap once a game, a game is 80 minutes and players play both attack and defence. Tackling is also far more regulated. a good 50% - 60% of tackles I see in the NFL would be red cards (ejected) or at least yellow cards (miss 10 minutes of the game team down a player) in rugby. American football players can get away with these bigger shots/poor technique (from a rugby point of view) because they have all the armour - without it you would have to regulate the tackling a lot more which may take away the key element that differentiates American football from rugby which is that its a series of10-30 second bursts of incredibly powerful athleticism. Alternatively you may have more complex and skill based plays that aren't so reliant on pure physical brawn.

They should if they really cared for player safety, but they won't cause they don't actually care and they make more money this way. it's the same as the real grass vs turf discussion.
