There is no law you have to eat meat. I don't see a problem.
@TheSket7 ай бұрын
So I’m a non vegan, never thought about going vegan, never planned to, no idea why you’ve come up on my feed. However, since you have and I’ve found my way to this video I gave a look through the comments out of curiosity. I want to point out that most of the comments are incredibly harsh if not down right rude. You may think that’s it’s righteous anger at somebody “helping destroy the planet” or whatever you feel that those not being vegan are doing, but I’m going to tell you that it does you no favors. This type of behavior, EVEN if you are “right”, when you are trying to push a movement forward will only serve to push those that may have sided with you away. I find this to be the biggest problem when dealing with many vegan activists, is that you get angry individuals screaming “YOURE DESTROYING THE PLANET” “YOURE EVIL FOR EATING MEAT” or any other variant of the insult. It’s why so many people view the entire movement as an insufferable nuisance than anything to take seriously. The point I’m making is that regardless of how right you think you are, allowing or creating these types of environments make people want to avoid you at best, or be totally opposed to you at worst even if they might agree with you under normal circumstances. I’d like to recommend perhaps not flaming and degrading individuals for dietary choices and instead focus on pushing the better points of your movement. Just as many people in this comments section are saying that individuals have a responsibility to help prevent environmental damage and other harms by making good choices, so too do the individuals a part of this movement. Hope this reaches someone and I hope you have a blessed day.

@@flintwallace there is a lot of nuance. Just like pet “ownership” or domestication. I personally have never rode a horse. But I would suggest animals equally find humans intriguing and often enjoy our companionship. I don’t condone commercial use of animals whatsoever. However private relationships with animals can prove deep trusting bonds where the animal’s life can be enriched through services to us as we are also in service to them. It’s a reciprocal relationship.

Why bother voting if one person’s actions does not matter?
@flintwallace8 ай бұрын
It's even more significant than voting in this case. Here's why. Every vote obviously matters because they add up to a whole and can produce significant change, however there's a chance that there will be more votes for something else and that change may not necessarily happen (but there are still important reasons for everyone to take their vote seriously anyway). However in the case of supply and demand, buying less actually results in less being produced, which has an immediate impact in sparing animals and reducing environmental stresses. And then it also has the voting-like effect on top of that, where if enough people do the same thing it can create massive changes so each person counts toward that. But even regardless of what other people do, your own impact is actually significant either way, and every individual animal life matters so your own actions as 1 person means the world to them (hundreds of animals a year as studies have shown).
