One thing I really appreciate is that these videos never engage in cruel hyperbole. Even when he is being negative, he is kind, and it is entirely possible to be honest and kind at the same time. It’s refreshing that there’s no insults or cruelty in the honest criticism. Very refreshing and rare.

I agree. My only criticism would be that he tends to repeat himself. For example he mentions the uncomfortable seats when showing the interior, then again when listing things he does not like, and once again in the wrapup.

Thanks for reviewing the Nissan's. Coming from a Toyota master mechanic, this is a breath of fresh air. I've had many Nissan CVT's and change the filter and fluids personally every 25-30k so far no problems. Pushing 160k on '13 Sentra SR. 120k Versa, 110k Pathfinder.

Nice review. I think the Kicks is not a bad car. It’s MUCH better than the last version. Yeah, it’s slow, but this car is not meant to be a speed demon. It’s a great point A to point B car.

I am no mechanic, but I got into one, and it was the most horrifically hard suspension ever. I have been in many different cars from all eras, this one is the stiffest. It felt like riding a big go-kart. I am surprised this guy is the only one talking about it.
@PTBoehlke3 сағат бұрын
The 2025? I test drove one and it felt surprisingly refined. But that was also a base S trim. The SR has large wheels and thinner tires

I know the older generation was very stiff. Did you drive one of those?

Seems pretty solid. Glad to see it. Simple, affordable without being overly "cheap", surprising interior (both design AND options), doesn't look bad...all in all, not too shabby! Especially for the price!

We own a 2020 Sentra SR with ZERO issues. Been having Nissans since I started driving. The unreliable cvts are a thing of the past. Over 60k and still driving smooth. All SR trims have a “harsh” or sporty suspension. The base models are always cushier to drive. End note. Nissan should have put the zero gravity seats here. Rented a 2022 kicks and my back hated those seats.

My friend just used my Quick Jack to do an oil change and tire rotation on his 2024 Ford Maverick yesterday. Ford has NO access door for the oil/filter so you have to remove the big plastic cover with 15, yes 15, torque screws!! (At least it's pretty light but does add time to the job.)

Curious about the suspension, Past owner 2015 Altima SL, 2015 Juke Nismo, 2019 Sentra SV, all 3 cars held the rode great with really good steering input, Altima drove like riding a cloud juke felt sporty kinda stiff and even my Sentra gave a lot of confidence, no problems in the Altima or juke but Sentra transmission started to act up around 70k so I traded for RAV4 Hybrid 💙

With proper maintenance nothing will fall apart and if your friend is using OEM Spare Parts it won't fall at all. I have a pair of Nissan's (2010 Tiida and Nismo Juke 2018 not the R) both are serviced on time at the Dealership & never used to parts cannon. As for the struggling part well GM is Struggling, Ford is Struggling well that makes them bad? Story short there's no bad cars in general there's bad habbits, lack of maintenance those are enough to destroy any reliable car.

With all of the options that Nissan included or made available on this model, the exclusion of a power driver's seat is a glaring omission, especially considering that it's available on the Sentra. Really, a power panoramic moonroof is available, but not a power driver's seat? That alone would put this vehicle on my do not buy list.
