The Floating Cloud looks a lot like the monger 2 from Naturehike, but is obviously lighter. Don't blame you for giving up on the camp meht, them flies looked nasty and very bloody annoying. Thanks for the camper lists link, definitely gonna keep it in my bookmarks for next time I look for a new tent. Cheers buddy

I used to have a lumo lime green cloth, which the bugs seemed to absolutely love

They were massive fly's. Had a waterproof coat same colour as your tent. And had the same issue in the summer . Just a bug beacon. Do what I do with my naturehike cloud2 tent. 1. Just peg out the ground sheet . 2. Then lay out inner on top. (Using peg points if windy to stop flapping). 3. Then just put tent poles through both holes at the same time .

3F UL FLOATING CLOUD 2 tent is indeed a good tent, some people say copy msr, I think it is possible, but the details are different, msr uses easton tent poles, 3ful uses 7 series aluminum alloy, there is a gap but not much. After all, the price difference between the two tents is too big, both are made in China.

Hello Ben. Got settled in my chair to watch this video, and even - though I was not there with you, I started to scratch myself. By the the time you got to your back garden - I was cursing 🤬 those 🪰 fu**ing flys big time !! They must have been a absolute nightmare to try and film with those flys !! Hiya thanks for the video and shame you didn't get a proper test due to the flies. I have this tent and have it in grey haha. Its very roomy, I'm 6 feet tall and fit in comfortably. Double vestibule and good head height. I also added the 4 season inner with more material rather than mesh. I definately recommend it and for £127 on Ali express it was way cheaper than the MSR I would liked to have. Best wishes mate.

Hey mate. I've got the Lanshan 2 Pro but have been considering a freestanding tent too for my wife and I for the ease of pitching in more places quickly and hopefully put up with a bit more wind. Saw your review of the Taiji, this and am also looking at the naturehike tents too. Any thoughts on one you recommend? Just looking other's input atm. cheers

They’re all good for the price. I’d go for the Taiji over this one. I’ll be trying out a Cloud Peak 2 soon but they seem to get good reviews.

Great review Ben, as usual, but hell that colour, Jeeesus, no wonder the flies are swarming, could be seen for miles, thought looks great in shape and size, so stealth camping is out of the question then, 😂😂

Ay up Ben ☹ Mate don't blame ya for bailing. Looked very frustrating. Tent looks pretty sturdy with plenty of room although a bit of a faff to pitch. Did you think of heading somewhere else a bit more open, away from the flys. Or did you not want to be so exposed.

Looks like a copy of the copper spur which it’s about but as per nature hike they can never ever get the dam colors right brown and forest green please, it’s not a big ask they already have tents in those colors for Pete’s sake. I have the copper spur 2P and it’s an amazingly good tent but at $450-$500 it’s out of reach for most understandably it took a huge sale at REI and months of saving for me to get it and that was after I was ok with paying that much for a dam tent, I bought a dam car for that much once!

Another Chinese MSR Hubba Hubba knock off. Think it is a better choice than Naturehike Mongar but as long as the don’t provide the tent in khaki or dark green it is not interesting for me. Not sure if you have checked but you can get the Floating Cloud with another inner tent with less mesh and they also got a one person version. I like the one person version better since it has this additional zipper at the back of the inner tent. This that you easily can store some stuff in this space instead of the main vestibule. This is something that I think MSR should include for their one person tents.
