So jealous of how in depth they can get into their clients/athletes training..great episode!

Squat triples up to a heavy single every day, should take 20 minutes tops. Finish off with some core work. Get some food, do some oly lifting, then do an emom metcon. Get some food, then do some gymnastics and skill practice, followed by a metcon. Then when the sun goes down later at night, go for a run 8 400m sprints with a 3 minute rest. That's a typical day for me. The only hard part is the squat singles in the morning, and the rest of the day is just getting out of breath while doing higher rep a moderate weight and getting a pump 5 timesa day. By only hitting it hard once and maintaining huge volume throughout the day, you're going to be getting oxygen and nutrient rich blood to the muscles and constantly be moving and not sitting down destroying your mobility, not to mention higher volume builds muscle in combination to short burst high intensity.

He was cut off just short of explaining how mood is possibly the greatest marker of your recovery and performance abilities that day. Could Brian, possibly explain in more detail. Or post a link to find more about that. Thank you.

This video is filling a huge knowledge gap for me. I now have the language to describe some of the things I feel in terms of aerobic exercise and gives ideas on how to train smarter :)

The "panic breathing" they referred to is actually triggered, in the human body- it varies across species, by blood CO2 levels which is why the CO2 scrubbing method works. Generally speaking you should be able to hold your breath longer after a deep exhale than a massive inhale.

Seems like a lot of talking to say pace yourself, take a day off, and improve your cardio.

Weightlifting is a sport, crossfit is not weightlifting. There is no contested clean and jerk, snatch. They use it as a tool. Get your facts straight. Go to a weightlifting meet, they have standards that are extremely high.

Although this has some merit. I still think more people need to push harder than they do, rather than dog it, just because they don't feel 100%. "The way that you feel is a lie. If you only train when you feel 100%, you'll train about 3 times a year." Most people I see in the gym are training like pussies.

Travis Scott I think he's only referring to his "elite" athletes that understand that difference.
