I miss the 2017-2019 rotmg. The scrappy server, client, unlimited player per dungeon and mass DC make it really fun to me. Since the release of exalt and player capping, I feel no joy playing this game anymore and I quit. What is significant about this game is all gone. The items are way overpowered which make server's requirements much higher than before, the independent on discord, player capping make new or casual players difficult to play some high tier dungeons and get high tier items or to farm events. I'm not a casual player and even a try-hard one who have roughly 4k hours on the main steam account, but I have friends that cant barely do a LH raid with full lobby. Even though discord servers go against what deca's idea, but it really helps new players to learn, enjoy the game. And I learnt to solo LH just by doing raids LOL :D

And this game really boring to play alone also. When i was a new player, many ppl really helped me out and kept me enjoying the game. There was a dude only farming sprite world to trade dex pots for life pot and use 8 life pots to trade for deca ring LOL. He helped me alot :D. imo, to make this game surviving or even thriving, we must not only add new contents but also build a strong and friendly community for players.

@@an0stime430 The discords are at a really weird position in the game right now. I spoke with a friend about them on stream the other day. They are both the one thing keeping this game alive, and also being the one thing that's killing them. They allow players to get into the late/end game content, but it gets to the point where you basically have to turn your brain off in order to do them. It leads to players being unable to finish those dungeons without those large groups to keep you alive and steamroll the boss. I would consider myself an end game player, having completed (and sometimes solo'd) almost every dungeon/boss in the game other than True Umi. Playing alone nowadays is incredibly boring and difficult. Back during the Wildshadow and early Kabam era it was much more "pick up and play" where I could hop on, do a few dungeons, gather some pots, maybe a white or two and hop off and feel good about my progress. Now if I want to feel any sort of progress on a character I need to be playing for upwards of at *least* two hours. I still love playing with my friends in a VC and just messing around, or even on stream. Having the people to play with, even if not directly through a VC and through twitch chat makes it that much more bearable. I do my best to make sure that if a new player comes in and asks a question, I can answer to the best of my ability. As a closed tester, I'm not sure what I can and cannot say, but content is always being worked on. It has to be as otherwise we'd get another Kabam situation.

Should you play Rotmg after 800 hours on steam? No.
