You are very right...Contractors vs homeowners are very different. Homeowners tend to like you being kind, friendly and talkative. Contractors like the flexibility, responsiveness and availability with 1-7 days vs 14-30 days

Nice talking points. Sell the trailer setup and get a nice under cdl hooklift truck. It’s inevitable anyway. Here in CT it’s $99 a ton at the transfer stations with no minimum. I run an Isuzu now which gets me in every tight space there is. Only issue is sometimes with roofers I get maxed out on weight of the hooklift being only 14000lbs. Looking to add a Mack MD6 too the fleet soon so I can take on more roofing accounts.
@rollingops2 жыл бұрын
I have my hands in a lot of things and have been trying to do it all with one truck, so I need the gooseneck for now. Since I also use it for my flatbed. But if I hire a driver, I plan to go hooklift and convert the bins I do have to fit. Thanks for the heads up on the hooklift, I was looking into the Isuzu and may have overlooked it, I handle a lot of roofing around here.

Caddo valley sanitation here! Your original side hustle video made me fully commit to the loan for a side hustle. Major truck issues first starting out, but stuck in there. Literally your video of you hoping on that 14 yarder made me get into it and I thank you so much. You have a friend in Arkansas! Side note. I have the lonestar setup and I'm looking to get some 20s. The prices are 8k a peice in cabot Ar. Do you know or have anyone selling some cheaper? Thanks for any help and keep up the good work!
@rollingops2 жыл бұрын
That's awesome man! Thanks for reaching out. Not sure if they are cheaper, but try Devin at Sanvrest in Billings MO. Shoot, they may be able to ship them to you at that price. It's been a minute since I've shopped for them at a dealer, but I know they are all out of control expensive. I'm glad you went full force, keep hustlin!

So republic and Wheelerbrator company is buying up transfer stations and alot of small Dumpster companies have sold out. Up here in New England. They trying to own the market
@rollingops2 жыл бұрын
Yep, republic is a shark, they realize the only way to stop us is to own the places we dump, they are 1 step away from a legitimate monopoly

Hey man! Hope all is well. I have CDL and my own business. Looking to get into dumpster rentals in Centre County, PA. I’m amazed at the capitol or amount of investment upfront! Wether you go with hooklift set up or roll off, essentially it’s around 50-60,000. So I’m hesitant. When we do this, we are needing someone to help build our online presence (web page) etc. I noticed in one of your videos you’ve done this. Any chance we can link up and discuss your help in this area?

I don't mind man! Appreciate ya thinking that. I'm 28 now, was probably 26-27 in that video. I've got some buddies in hvac, some of them our absolutely killing it. A lot I would have done differently if I didn't go to college, that would have been on my list as an option

I called the city department and they told me I couldn't start my own dumpster rental biz within city limits. I noticed a couple other big names that do . So Why can't I ? Was the gal just saying this or can I legally just go ahead and do this? Help please! Any recommendations for me?
@rollingops2 жыл бұрын
That will be different between areas, some places have non competes, some have contracts, see if you can start it on the outskirts with an address but still operate in the city?
@MT_Maniac4062 жыл бұрын
Ok ill check into this.
@Adam-qt6qq2 жыл бұрын
@@MT_Maniac406 yeah there's places town and city that have franchise rules. Or even what you'd call monopoly. Saying like waste management is in control contracts with city and no one else can compete in city or town. So how other guys get away with it. Is they do dump trailers.. out here we have several cities that don't allow you to be in city limits without paying a trash hauling permit for a year. And police enforce it. You get a 300 dollar fine. Also the city is charging residents a driveway fee for a rolloff company to put Dumpster in driveway. And they also make company get a permit to bring the Dumpster to people house in that specific city

So prices are ridiculous for tonnage. For small companies starting out. Like 200 dollars per ton. And a transfer station that republic bought out. The door fee is 275.00 dollars per ton. Plus 25 dollars process fees. So how does someone make any money dumping there. But mostly about 200 per ton.. couple places a few dollars cheaper. 160.180. Plus these process fees added on. Definitely ridiculous. Plus hour long lines wait to dump out.
@rollingops2 жыл бұрын
Yep your area is sadly controlled heavily by the big guys. When they run the dumpsters, trash service, and own the disposal site, it becomes nearly impossible
