This training is good for somedays but extremely dangerous for long run. You can try this but There high probability of people getting injured by this program and also for every session recovery takes long time. If you want to keep your joints healthy & don't wanna suffer any injury,then you should avoid it .

Single set with perfect form to failure is what giving me results since past 6 months......the kind of results that i have never got since past 10 years. Literally mike mentzers training is the only way to build muscle productively for natural bodybuilders. When it comes to bodybuilding.....one set to absolute failure is what you need. There is no hypertrophy without going to failure..... intensity can be only measured as either 100% or zero %. Just think.....why will the body have any stimulus to grow when you are leaving reps in the tank and you have not pushed more than what you performed the previous workout in the gym. Going to failure in one good set is the only way to make sure you are progressing.

Beautifully explained. Powerlifters never train to failure and only train for technique and tightness, similar is the case with gymnasts and weightlifers, who practice movements over and over again. Bodybuilders have complicated the situation as they have the need to sell supplements and programs.

I've always been confused with Mike Mentzer's HIT 3 times a week or volume based 5 times a week training or somewhat in between blended of both. Also was not clear with muscle failure, i.e. assumed concentric failure is total failure, now I'm well informed. Thanks for the guidance, now I can tailor my workout schedule and technique according to my need, age and availability (space and time).
