Mike mentzer was way ahead of its time. His HIT heavy duty workout is Taylor made for lifters. Training to failure is more difficult than the volumes set.

This training is good for somedays but extremely dangerous for long run. You can try this but There high probability of people getting injured by this program and also for every session recovery takes long time. If you want to keep your joints healthy & don't wanna suffer any injury,then you should avoid it .

Single set with perfect form to failure is what giving me results since past 6 months......the kind of results that i have never got since past 10 years. Literally mike mentzers training is the only way to build muscle productively for natural bodybuilders. When it comes to bodybuilding.....one set to absolute failure is what you need. There is no hypertrophy without going to failure..... intensity can be only measured as either 100% or zero %. Just think.....why will the body have any stimulus to grow when you are leaving reps in the tank and you have not pushed more than what you performed the previous workout in the gym. Going to failure in one good set is the only way to make sure you are progressing.

Beautifully explained. Powerlifters never train to failure and only train for technique and tightness, similar is the case with gymnasts and weightlifers, who practice movements over and over again. Bodybuilders have complicated the situation as they have the need to sell supplements and programs.

I've always been confused with Mike Mentzer's HIT 3 times a week or volume based 5 times a week training or somewhat in between blended of both. Also was not clear with muscle failure, i.e. assumed concentric failure is total failure, now I'm well informed. Thanks for the guidance, now I can tailor my workout schedule and technique according to my need, age and availability (space and time).

Training till muscle failure has helped me a lot. I even included cluster sets and recently I also included fst 7 training in my workout routine, it has given me good results.

Moral of the story - go for the technique that gives you results. No technique can be called superior to the other one because if technique A is working for one athlete , it's not necessary it will work for the other person too. Every body is different . Use your unused brain and choose wisely

Hi sir, please reply. I am 18 years old days before I use web protein muscle blaze whey protein after drinking some minutes ago. I feel anything wrong to my stomach then I sleep, but I cannot get a quality sleep then next day morning. I feel like some stomach pain this day, full, I got very painful stomach pain, also tiredness, I feel like fever full. I am sleeping in bed. I know energy to walk or sitting to eat food. Then next day today I feel like joint pain, heart pain, heart side also I feel like pain so what I do go to doctor or stop this protein powder.

So agar main pehla set dumbell press ka karta hu upto 15 reps then i have to take weight that i can push barely till 15 reps.. but if i do that then mere baaki k set mein main same weight nahi krr paoonga .. abhi tkk main light se heavy ki taraf jaata hu.. should i change that?
